The eID Chrome Extension gives access to the eID card within the Chrome web browser. The eID Chrome solution has been integrated within our eID Identity Provider and Digital Signature Service.

- Doesn't work in Google Chrome. I installed it as an extension in Firefox, and I experienced no problems there. Changing browsers might be your solution, too.

- Works as a charm! Do not understand the reviews saying it's not working. Read my ID for registration even without restarting the browser. Maybe the problem is with the instructions on some service providers' pages. In my case whole exercise took 2 mins

- Etant moi-même informaticien, je ne peux que me sentir honteux que mes confrères n'ont clairement pas la moindre notion de tests et de comment on rend un logiciel disponible aux utilisateurs. Bien sur, un logiciel zéro bogue est quasi une mission impossible mais, en 2023, alors que nous disposons de tant d'outils de testing automatiques, de regression etc... mettre en production un logiciel de cette "qualité" est... une honte! Les utilisateurs, (car c'est pour eux qu'on fait notre métier, non?) ont le droit au même niveau de qualité que l'on voit dans beaucoup de banques (ok, pas toutes, mais quand-même). SVP, engagez des analystes et testeurs compétents. Donnez leur des outils modernes. Redeveloppez cette usine à gaz et donnez aux gens (pensez aux personnes agées qui paniquent au moindre pop-up...) une solution de qualité. SVP! N'oubliez pas que vos utilisateurs n'ont pas d'alternatives. Ils n'ont que votre logiciel pour se connecter avec leur carte d'identité aux données qui leur appartiennent et qui sont, souvent, très importants pour eux (comme les résultats de tests médicaux). S'il vous plaît, arrêtez ce cirque qui dure depuis de trop nombreuses années...

- The extension also needs additional Java component (Java JRE SDK) to be installed in order to work. I got it working after downloading the latest version here: https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Hopefully this will help.

- It does not work and I even think it might be a scam. In the menu (click 3 dots then manage extension) I saw the settings of the extension. "Site access'' This extension can read and change your data on sites. You can control which sites the extension can access. Automatically allow access on the following sites http://*.orpea.net/* https://*.allsoft.be/* https://*.auctionline.be/* https://*.e-contract.be/* https://*.ejustice.be/* https://*.jd-consult.be/* https://*.nkcn-cia.be/* https://*.orpea.net/* https://localhost/*' Looks like shady links to me. I will remove it immediately.
