• (2022-01-12) MediaPC Murphy: Does exactly what it promises. There are a few channels I'd be interested in comments from (DIY stuff where someone might have a good suggestion), so a toggle would be nice. That said, 99.999% of the comments this blocks are repetitive or pointless. If YouTube/Google really had their act together they might have implemented a native solution like this years ago. • (2021-08-06) J2day: Just started using this and i think this is the lifesaver i was looking for all this time. its a shame i cant use it on android so I've had to resort to deleting the android youtube app altogether. Ovreall though I can already see this will significantly improve my viewing experience on desktop. No toxic comments means more peace of mind and altogether less time spent watching youtube in general which saves me hours of my life.
• (2021-08-05) Trainor Race: I realize my hypocrisy of commenting on how comments are bad for us but here me out. There is this weird hierarchy of who says the most intelligent or most introspective thing in the Youtube comments section. A lot of times its great being able see how other people perceive a piece of content and share your view points as well. But I think this format breeds a sort of mob mentality with conversations. Vindicate those who disagree and promote those who do. So the affirmation of your perspective is reinforced through likes and other comments. It lacks the ability to have a in depth conversation on different subjects. The goal instead turns solely to getting the most sound bite-y comment to reach an audience that will confirm whatever belief you hold... Anyway, this extension is awesome lol.

When I singed in to my school account on my home computer, it installed the extension as well, not allowing me to delete it. This is horrible to me, as I quite enjoy reading comments on videos. That being said, the extension does exactly as advertised and I cannot fault the creator for my schools decision, hence the 5 stars. Although I don't personally like it, it works fine. Thanks for reading this useless review.

If I could request one feature extension it would be the option to also hide "like" and "dislike" scores as they have become the comments section in numeric form. As a habit, I used to always look at the comments Now I can just enjoy my video and stop caring about the social community thing I'm not saying that the comments were not good... but they were probably not worth spending that time.
