• (2024-01-19) VENU M: I have been using this extension and it is a very useful tool. This Extension works well If you use it for normal WhatsApp Chat groups. But, It was UNABLE to extract mebmer contact from "Broadcast Groups". I brought that issue to the notice of the development team on 23-Nov-2023. They responded positively and stated that they would see if they can fix that. (to include Broadcast Groups into the extraction ability.) But the latest release / version 0.8.9.7 Updated on 16-January-2024, which was SUPPOSED to work for "Broadcast Groups" does NOT WORK for Broadcast Groups at ALL. List of Bugs as I see: ================ 1) It does NOT Recognize the "Broadcast Group Names" Correctly. (It lists them as NNNNNNNNNN@broadcast where NNNNNNNNNN is a number. 2) For each Broadcast Group this extension creates a excel sheet with only headings, but no rows (It finds 0 members for that group) 3) The headings that it shows are: Country Code Phone Number Saved Name Public Display Name Contact Labels It does not allow/include even the Broadcast group name 4) All the individual broadcast gorup member files are creted with the "SAME NAME" i.e., GroupName.xlsx... So, if you have 5 Broadcast Groups, it will create GroupName.xlsx GroupName (1).xlsx GroupName (2).xlsx GroupName (3).xlsx GroupName (4).xlsx 5) And It seems to create only 10 broadcast Excel files even when you have more than 10 Broadcast groups . I have been in touch with the development team and today (2024-01-19) Mr Veera and I had a zoom call for him to see how and IF can fix the "Broadcast Groups" issue and to bring "Broadcast Groups" into this tools' purview. I hope they succeed. PS: 1) Mr Veera informed me that "another user also informed them" of the problem with "Broadcast Groups". 2) I use Broadcast groups extensively. 3) I am a paying user of this tool (monthly subscription).
