Image from store Ferret
Description from store Ferret empowers your research by summarizing/enriching articles and providing full-text search on your reading history. All info at a glance A publication might be on topic. But is it on point? Ferret integrates with many popular scientific databases and services, so you can easily judge the scientific impact of any publication. If an article scores low, perhaps you shouldn't read it all the way through. If it has no mentions or peer reviews at all, it may not even be worth your time. All the services you love Databases offered are Pubmed, EuropePMC, Pubpeer, Altmetric, JournalScore, CiteFactor… A bevy of reliable services for you to decide what to read. All bundled in one place as well, keeping those browser tabs in check. We are always updating our pool of integrations. Time Machine Remember reading something interesting but have no clue where? Use the Time Machine to track an article in your reading history, and retrace the steps you took to find it. Patterns soon emerge as you see your research in its full context on a clear visual timeline. No bookmarking required, Ferret's always on. Timeline & Search Ferret remembers every article you visit. Just do your research. Ferret works quietly in the background, hanging on to every word. Then dive into your reading history with full-text search for keywords or metadata. Ferret lines up all matching articles and links them together.

  • (2017-12-14) LIANG: Thanks, a great app.
  • (2016-05-02) Ding Ewan: Fail to perform on the Local PDF, I mean, there is no sidebar when I open the PDF in Chrome. Besides, I'd appreciate a lot if this extension could support the PDF in Diigo, which is a great website for idea collection and organization.
  • (2016-03-15) J. Lund: Great idea and useful for reading literature, however breaks PDF functionality for many non-journal PDFs (e.g. instruction manuals, letters). This extension could be really great if there were an easy way to toggle whether it's enabled or not.
  • (2016-03-02) Raphael Haslecker: Just awesome. Of course, not yet that useful if you're not in the biosciences.
  • (2015-05-21) Lili mulvany: Good tool. thanks

  • (2019-09-10, v:0.5.12) Steve Czetli: I had high hopes for this extension, but on those occasions where it pops up on the right side of my screen, it doesn't populate with anything. Maybe I'm not waiting long enough.

  • (2017-12-14, v:0.5.12) LIANG: The enrich panel
Hi, could please set the enrich panel on the left side? Thanks! add quote file fot it.
  • (2016-04-26, v:0.5.9) Nerissa Belcher: Where is database?
Ferret stopped working so I removed it from Chrome then reinstalled. Works again but I'd hoped it would still have access to my old database. Are months worth of material gone or can I get it back?
