We read the terms and conditions so you don't have to
(Beta Product)
88% of people never read the terms and conditions of websites or services they use. However, most people want to know what they are agreeing to in those terms. That is why we created Legal Leaf. We strongly believe that everyone should have easy access to those agreements, in language they can understand.
Legal Leaf works behind the scenes, in your browser, to read and summarize these terms using powerful AI. We're constantly working to improve the accuracy of these summaries. The results are displayed in the top right corner without affecting web speeds.
One important note, to work on every site Google requires us to request permission to access "Your data on all websites". While we are given this permission, we promise to never view your specific data. We only look at the URL and use that to find the terms another way, without breaching your privacy.
If you have any feedback, please feel free to contact us at http://leaf.legal we would love to hear from you.

- (2018-03-12) Tyler Etchart: This is really cool! It makes it simple to get the gist of the T&C.
- (2018-03-12) McKell Woodland: This is a super great idea and really useful. I've tried it on a few different websites, and I thought the sentences that it pulled out were fairly relevant to the main points of the conditions.

- (2018-03-12) Maria: Brilliant idea. This is so useful! Simplifies the lengthy, complicated terms into an easy-to-read summary. Can't wait to see what's next.
- (2018-03-12) Great idea for an extension. Maybe add a percentage of text summarized (versus text that was skipped), so we can be sure we're getting all the info?
- (2018-03-12) Matthew Holt: Great companion for any website user. There's no substitute for reading the whole text but this is still way better than not reading any of it at all! It would be nice if it could detect if it's not on a page with legal terms, or follow a link to the legal terms. But, great start! Looking forward to using this more in the future.
- (2018-03-12) Lord Circe: A good app. I've tried clicking it on a few different pages, and it can occasionally pull out phrases where I agree to something that aren't even in a Terms of Service, so that is a bit of useful functionality. It did stall a bit while searching on a blank page, so it might be improved by having a "Didn't Find Anything" message so it isn't just left searching all the time.
- (2018-03-12) David Wingate: A great idea - hope to see lots of improvements in the future!
- (2018-03-12) Tyler Moncur: This solves a problem I didn't even think about. It is so useful to summarize the basic terms and conditions of any website.
- (2018-03-12) Really useful for people like me that want to know what they're signing up for but don't want to read the whole thing.
- (2018-03-12) Nina Carr: I always just say Accept, never know all I am accepting. This helps me know in plain English what I Accepted.
- (2018-03-12) AnnaLisa Ward: I never read the terms and conditions, there are way too many words and it's super long. I love this because I can see what I'm agreeing to and it's simple!
