• (2021-06-24) Piltdown Superman: Using this for several months. In my weblog writing, I need an approximate number of words before I insert a graphic. This tool is very helpful for that. I was a bit bothered that there is no keyboard shortcut, but then, since the section to be counted needs to be highlighted, I'm holding the mouse anyway so the right-click and select part of the procedure is no problem. It works well in my experience on several Chromium-based browsers.

Никаких лишних наворотов - она просто тут же выдаёт подсчитанный текст. Просто выделяешь текст - клацаешь правой кнопкой мыши - выбираешь "Count this words" - появляется маленькое окошко по центру экрана с данными на английском, которое не исчезает пока не нажмёшь на крестик в углу.

  Hello everyone, I've noticed some people saying they have issues with the extension. I just installed this in the past few days on a few computers. It worked simply and perfectly on Windows 10 Chrome browser, but when I tried to install it on ChromeOS I'm also getting a package invalid error. I don't know if Chomebooks are support, or if someone else can say if they're on a chromebook as well. I'm sure this will help the developer. Which, many thanks by the way. Neat little extension on windows! :)

  Unable to install the extension from the Chrome Store due to a file named wrongly in the code. Either rename the file wordcount.png to wordCount.png (with a capital C) or change the code accordingly to have the correct name of the file. I had to download the extension locally and do it offline to get it installed.
