Image from store Host AdBlocker
Description from store an ad-blocker add-on that uses host matching instead of RegExp matching to increase performance and reduce memory usage. When a new resource is requested the extension matches its hostname to the list of known advertisement or analytic sources. If the hostname matches the request gets blocked if not it will load as normal. Extensions like uBlock Origin or AdBlock Plus use RegExp matching which is more powerful but slower to evaluate. You can extend the default list by adding your custom domain names in the backlist text box or whitelist a top domain by adding its hostname into the whitelist textbox. Default blacklist hostnames: https://adaway.org/hosts.txt https://hosts-file.net/ad_servers.txt https://pgl.yoyo.org/adservers/serverlist.php?hostformat=hosts&showintro=0&mimetype=plaintext Before adding a new hostname to the list of blacklist, make sure to check its current status by inserting the hostname in the evaluation input box.

If you could make Energized adblocking list as the default would be great. Energized list is being updated continuously. Please find the link here. https://energized.pro/

It works just like adaway application in rooted android devices which I loved using it to block various annoying ads both in applications and web. Very recommended, smart working method which uses tiny amount of memory for ease and comfortable browsing activity.

You can set up whitelists just like other adblockers, but it also allows you to set up blacklists so you can allow websites to make money by default and leave scammy ones like Ad.fly turned off for good. Most importantly however, it's open-source and doesn't require any permissions other than to modify websites! My favorite adblocker on the chrome web store by far.
