Meet MOT, a browser extension which will help the user combat procrastination. MOT assists the user by helping them reduce the amount of time they spend browsing distractive content by allowing them a time quota for those sites. This allowance of time allows the user manage their time better. Mot is a system designed to track and reduce online distraction for multiple users. After thoroughly researching student’s behaviours around procrastination the challenge was how to prevent a users browser activity and getting them to work on important tasks. If the user crosses the set time frame of aimless browsing, the extension terminates all browser activity. Providing user’s a mechanism to control their digital distraction aids in achieving their goals.
