I've installed the extension, but it doesn't seem to work...or I'm not doing it right? Can you please explain how to use it?

When I click the link and the season number and episode number are the same, the link goes to the next season. I think the "url = url.replace(episode_number,episode_number+1);" line in your content.js file is the reason behind this. Javascript's replace method replaces the first instance of the first parameter passed in. http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/jsref_replace.asp So when you call "replace(1, 1+1);", replace finds and replaces the first 1 with 2 and the link takes you to season 2 episode 1.
