EXTREMELY impressive and EXTREMELY FAST and finding the font!! :-D wow HOW TO USE - after you've installed it to your browser, make sure you activate it so it shows on your browser, then click it ONCE and hover or click the area where the font is! Amazing. This is going to save me a LOT of time! Much appreciated buuuuuddy

Very helpful, does exactly what it should do to show the font, color, line-height, size, etc. I'd suggest showing the rem alongside the px for font size then it'd be perfect!

A Must-Have Extension for Designers and Developers! This extension is incredibly helpful and has become an essential tool for our entire development team. We use it daily for: Discovering and identifying the best fonts Clicking on any text to instantly view all font properties Verifying if fonts are correctly applied across a website While it doesn't work on Chrome's default pages (like the homepage, settings, or chrome://flags), this is a browser limitation and not a fault of the extension itself. Overall, it's an excellent tool for anyone working in graphic design or web development. Highly recommended!

Sadly doesn't work anymore; very buggy and takes forever to install. I recently found another Chrome plugin called Serifio that seems very stable and has a better UX/UI.

Doesn't work on images. If you want to know the font this app is just reading the source code of the page or the CSS. waste of time!

Great extension

If it isn't working, click the "extensions" icon that looks like a puzzle piece, then click the pushpin icon to pin to extensions bar. The Whatfont icon looks like an "f?" . Click it to ID your font. This would be easy to mention in the overview for those not familiar with Chrome extensions.... just saying...

Installed on Arc version 1.39 and works well. Here's how to use it: Once installed, pin it so you can click on it when you want to identify a font. On a page with fonts you want to identify... Click on the WhatFont icon: This puts you into a separate mode where you can hover over text and optionally click to identify. That's it! You just have to understand you're in a metamode where the extension is "taking over" the browser. Gotchas are: You have to hover over actual text. It won't work to hover over an image (such as those on font websites). Don't have any dialog boxes waiting for your acknowledgement (such as for cookies). Doesn't seem to work on any page controlled by Google. Doesn't understand bold or italics usually. Any time you go off the current page, it gets deactivated. Or just click the extension icon again to deactivate (exits WhatFont mode).

It works, but does seem a little buggy or temperamental. For me, I've found that if I click the "WhatFont" icon in my Bookmarks Bar to "activate" it and then hover the mouse over the text, then a black rectangular box pops up letting me know what the font is. Click that rectangle to expand and have more details (size, weight, color code, etc.). Works *mostly* but not 100% of the time for me, though I do notice it doesn't seem to work on this Google-owned page, but that's probably Google blocking something.

Apparently its always " times new roman".
