  • (2023-02-08) Omnibug no longer working in Chrome. Tis is my favourite debugging tool but it no longer works with the latest version of Chrome. I've tried reinstalling Chrome, reinstalling the extension, clearing cookies - nothing has worked.
  • (2022-12-15) James Bach: The extension crashed after I unchecked all filters, please fix it early
  • (2022-11-30) Onder Bagci: Doesn't show batched GA4 requests separately.
  • (2022-09-21) Andrew Gorrill: I've tried so many, and this is, by far, the clearest and simplest analytics tracking extension I've used. It's hard to tell what's going on with lots of extensions (if you have a complicated analytics setup, as we do) because there's so much output; this one channels the output into layers of complexity that you can optionally reveal, making it soooo much easier to actually track the events you're looking for.
  • (2022-09-16) Roy Raviv: It is OK. That being said, it tends to crash randomly, and especially when you try to apply a filter.
  • (2022-07-11) David Hernandez: Thais is a must have in analytics world
  • (2022-05-09) Tarun Gupta: Doesn't show up in Devtools. I am using v100 which is the latest version as of right now
  • (2021-10-01) Simon Poulton: I use this extension daily and it is crushes. Highly recommended for all analytics teams.
  • (2020-07-10) Ryan Ratkowski: Not showing in dev tools
  • (2020-03-18) Kevin Pillay: I am white.
  • (2019-10-07) Whit Waldo: Wonderful tool - invaluable for easily picking up analytics requests on the page.
  • (2019-04-01) Brandon Flynn: Glorious. I do Adobe Analytics implementation for an analytics company. I use it every day and I recommend it for anyone. A few things I'd suggest to the devs: - Perhaps give more options to hide fields or customize which data you're being shown. I understand there's some options like that now but I think it could go further: Something like "only show me events" under the 'Summary' tab. 90% of the time events, props and evars are the only parameters I'm looking at. - It would be great, as far as Adobe Analytics goes, if each request could note the rule name associated with it. Sometime I see that a tag has fired with unexpected parameters and have to do some investigation to determine which rule it's coming from. I was using Tagtician for this use-case but it doesn't seem to work 100% of the time. - This might be a bit overkill or outside of scope but having the ability to switch environments would be interested. Oh and kudos for that "Hang on a second! This popup doesn't actually do anything for Omnibug!" message. Great idea considering most of these reviews, lol.
  • (2018-11-15) Viktar Kadol: It was quite good, but unfortunately new fancy version(1.2.3) is not working with adobe analytics. Well... that sucks. UPD: everything is working again, just cleaned up all extensions, and re-installed needed. Maybe there were some conflicts.
  • (2018-08-07) GreatWestGlobal AM: Not working at all
  • (2018-06-12) Gicell Schaenzler: The icon is greyed out and I can't use it
  • (2018-06-04) Alex S: it does not show me any omniture events
  • (2017-12-07) Ahmad Zuraiqi: NOT WORKING AT ALL
  • (2017-07-31) Dave Hamel: I use this everyday. I love it.
  • (2017-05-04) Essola Hansa: Very nice!
  • (2016-05-22) Peace&Love World: great add on!

On my main chrome profile, the Omnibug tab used to to working fine, however, randomly it stopped showing up in inspect element. I uninstalled and installed again, looked in settings, etc. nothing worked. I made a new chrome profile and installed Omnibug there and it works. Is there any setting or any change I can make on my main chrome account/profile to get it working there again?
  • (2023-05-05, v:1.20.0) Francois Carstens: Pulsepoint
We're not seeing our Pulsepoint tag in Omnibug. Is this an issue with our implementation or does Omnibug not support Pulsepoint?

  • (2022-12-05, v:1.19.1) Lucas Hemenway: Omnibug constantly crashing recently
It seems the past 2 weeks or so, Omnibug just constantly crashes. I just use it for Adobe Analytics, and it can't even handle basic UAT filtered on those tags. I'm not sure if there was a version update but I'm on 1.19.1. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't do anything. Any further actions I can take to try to remedy this?
  • (2022-06-03, v:1.19.1) Caroline Majerczyk: Inconsistent Omnibug in Chrome
Omnibug has become very inconistent with a recent chrome update. This has been my go-to debugger for years which I loved but it seems to be missing more often than not. Any ideas how to fix this? Or can we expect an update to resolve this?
  • (2022-04-07, v:1.19.0) Kevin Jacobs: GA4 vs UA query string parameter issue
It looks like GA4 decided to use the query string parameter 'tt' for traffic_type which denotes whether traffic is internal or external. Unfortunately, this is the same query string parameter UA uses for transaction tax. So Omnibug is showing the GA4 traffic_type value in the Ecommerce section under Transaction Tax. Maybe you can decide which one to use by the format of the measurement ID (i.e. use traffic_type when measurement ID is like G-XXXXXXXXXX and transaction tax when measurement ID is like UA-XXXXXXXX-X)?
  • (2022-04-06, v:1.19.0) Jill Thompson: Ominbug will not show up to select to use
When I pull up my web page in chrome and open the dev tool, omnibug does not show up as a tab to select so that I can see my GA360 tags.
  • (2022-01-19, v:1.18.0) Claire Brown: Reading Tags
Hi! When reviewing if my tags are properly applied, what is the difference between a blue "page load" and a green "page_load"? They are firing under the same Google AW tag.
  • (2021-12-08, v:1.18.0) Jason Case: Data Layer Inspection
Have you considered adding Data Layer Inspection to your plugin? I use Omnibug every day. I would to be able to have it show me the data layer on each page load as well as all the pixels/servercalls. Any chance this is something you have considered?
  • (2021-08-30, v:1.17.3) Brandon Flynn: Feature Request
I use Omnibug primarily for Adobe Analytics. I would LOVE to see the below: > pageview beacon fires > view beacon in Omnibug > see evar 100 > forget what evar 100 is > hover mouse over evar100 row > tooltip is revealed, shows what that evar represents (page URL/domain/query string...etc.) This would prevent me from needing to cross-reference my SDR. I understand that getting this information is a whole boat-load of API trouble -- but perhaps the user could instead provide a CSV of the values expected? Cheers! And thanks for providing such a wonderful tool.
  • (2021-08-23, v:1.17.3) jinsol kwon: it does not track all tags sometimes
Hello! There are some times that omnibug does not track tags unless we refresh the whole page. Those times include when we go to a different page to log in and get back to the original page to proceed. We use dataslayer concurrently and it still tracks every event. Could you help us find the reason? Is there any additional permission or settings for us to apply to keep the track of all tags? This has started to happen a month ago and we still cannot see why. Best regards

  • (2020-06-01, v:1.16.0) Jason Ambrose: Omnibug tab not showing any longer in Incognito mode
I am no longer able to get the Omnibug tab to show up in Chrome when using Incognito mode. I do have the "Allow in Incognito" option enabled and have tried resetting my settings, disabling/enabling, and re-installing. Wondering if it is conflicting with the latest Chrome version (v 83.0.4103.61), which now has a new "Lighthouse" tab showing up where "Omnibug" typically does in the Dev tools listing after the "Security" option.
  • (2020-03-26, v:1.14.0) Wei Chan: I am not able to install this on my chrome

When I open the browser using a screen that is not the default one (I have 3 screens), Omnibug interface freezes ie I cannot unfold the event details by clicking on the arrow, the whole developer panel freeze as well so I cannot change between Omnibug, Audists, Security etc. It's been happening to my colleagues as well.
