  • (2020-12-17) Chris Bastin: Doesn't work
  • (2020-10-20) Dave Clissold: Useless, does not display on half the websites I have checked. Check out the BBC news websites and see how many are missing - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-54597180
  • (2020-08-26) Daniel Rose: very useful for dynamic implementation of OG tags! Liked the counter feature :)
  • (2020-08-24) Guillaume Duveau: The number of networks are limited and probably not those most would expect (FB, Twitter are fine, then VK.com & OK.ru are not known at all in my country). Otherwise cool extension.
  • (2020-08-08) Stephan Lanberg: Awesome!
  • (2020-07-30) Kathy Long: sorry. I know others loved it but it didn't work at all for me. It returned nothing. My Google Chrome is up to date.
  • (2019-12-03) Serge Shevchik:
  • (2019-09-17) Muhammed Aslam: awesome and useful extension
  • (2019-08-29) Anna Rasshivkina: I was hoping to use this to help me debug Open Graph data, but unfortunately it seems to scrape the data differently than FB does—this gives me a different preview of the page than FB's Sharing Debugger does. Otherwise, would be very handy and easy to use, and it works for pages on a local server, which is awesome.
  • (2019-07-16) Todd Dominey: Doesn't display the source og:image no matter which site/page I try. If this could display images in addition to text it would be great, but right now it's a bit broken.
  • (2019-05-01) Jason Thompson: so awesome!
  • (2019-03-01) Teng Wei Chin: Works great! Got my job done.
Hi, i like this extension. Could you attach a button so that the contents of the tag can be easily copied on the OGP details screen?
  • (2018-12-20) sam rolfe: The extension works well however I was tearing my hair out for a long time. It "refreshes" the head data when it looks at it. My head data is dynamically generated - so this causes it to be lost - rather reverted. Not sure if there is something in the background.js or control.js scripts which is doing this but its super frustrating. Works with static head data.
  • (2018-11-27) Will Ambrose: Works well. Helpful.
  • (2018-07-11) Manga D: OG image did not show... Edit: Found out why. The extension does not support specifying the og image size before the image url.
  • (2018-04-17) Kieron Brewer: Very helpful. I need to test pages on a local server before they go live. The works great for that purpose. Thanks.
  • (2018-03-22) Maxim Khudenko:
  • (2018-02-24) Alexander Shevchenko:
  • (2018-02-12) Vasily Novosad:
  • (2018-01-08) Anton Oparin: Very helpfull
  • (2017-12-15) Duncan Michael-MacGregor: Saves refreshing FB dev tools, impressed!
  • (2017-11-19) Shuuji TAKAHASHI: It's useful card preview extension. The card preview works properly even if twitter:image and og:image are different.
  • (2017-06-22) Thomas Mathys: Useful for a quick-check, but doesn't reproduce exactly the FB rules, especially for the image appearance (wide or square presentation, depending on image size).
  • (2017-03-28) System.NullReferenceException: It would be better if the image could be selected with the mouse. Only text is selected at this time.
  • (2017-01-17) Brian Layman: Incomplete. This makes it work well as a theme maker's or publisher's tool, but not a necessarily developer's tool. It does a decent job of showing what a shared article probably looks like on 4 different services. However, the i tab that shows the raw data is inaccurate and incomplete. It shows some data that is not open graph data, like title and canonical. This is helpful but it should be labeled as not coming from open graph to prevent confusion. It could easily mislead someone into thinking og:title is populated correctly when it isn't. The i tab also does not show ALL open graph fields. This tripped me up till I realized it was the tool that was wrong and not the source websites. It should show all of the fields specified in the open graph protocol as specified at: http://ogp.me/ I was specifically looking for the existence of: article:published_time, article:modified_time or og:updated_time
  • (2016-11-17) This allows you to see how Facebook or Twitter would preview the current webpage. But not limited to that, it also prints out the site's raw metadata to you. Nice work, well done!
  • (2016-11-11) Christian Rich: Does not work. Half the pop up is cut of hidden in the top right corner.
  • (2016-08-23) Diana Broeders: This is very easy to use and even works with sites running on a local server. As long as you provide a full path to your images. A preview of the LinkedIn card would be a great addition though
  • (2016-08-19) Gregor Kuhlmann: Very useful!

  • (2020-10-28, v:2.1.0) Evan Sampson: SVGs
Howdy, your plug-in allows SVGs which are not supported for facebook. (Perhaps opengraph in general?)
  • (2020-09-17, v:2.1.0) Kristiyan Bogdanov: Buy/Sell open graph preview
Hey Pavel, I am interested in acquiring open graph preview chrome extensions, but can't find your contact details. Would you consider selling it? If yes, email me at [email protected]
VK.com
  • (2019-08-05, v:2.1.0) Sandro Ducceschi: User-Agent Support
Some Frameworks will only expose Open Graph Tags if they encounter the right User-Agent String. So my suggestion is, it would be great if we could set our own User-Agent String to be used to retrieve the Metadata. Else, great extension!
  • (2019-06-25, v:2.1.0) Shane Delamore: og:image doesn't always get detected correctly.
The extension doesn't seem to pick up the og:image correctly on the following url. It works fine on Facebook: https://www.zostream.com/post/cycoteiO0c2W/Kent/BikeAdventures1StQuarter2019
  • (2019-05-20, v:2.1.0) Abu-Ali Alibek:
  • (2019-01-03, v:2.0.1) Gino Pane's Game Piazza: Generic image tag is not picked up
Hi! It looks like the generic image tag is not picked up by the extension on some websites. The extension does not show the image in any preview. Here's the link where the issue can be seen: https://www.neboleem.net/stati-o-zdorove/9471-razgruzochnye-dni-vred-ili-polza.php. A generic "og:image" is present on the page.
  • (2018-10-10, v:2.0.1) Jordyn Bonds: Could you explain why you require the permissions you do?
"It can: Read and change all your data on websites you visit" sounds pretty crazy!
  • (2018-04-04, v:1.9.0) What are the social networks on there?
I recognize twitter and facebook, but the other icons are unfamiliar to me (and there are no tips showing what they are)

Very good but need a better toolbar icon
  • (2018-03-14, v:1.9.0) Steffen Schlaer: Twitter only shows the ImageNotFound image
Any idea why the Twitter preview does not show the twitter:image? Following URL for testing: https://wowchannel.de/news/justnetwork/31972 In the extension I do not see the twitter:image. When I share this URL on twitter.com the tweet display the image correctly.
  • (2018-02-27, v:1.9.0) LinkedIn
    Could you add LinkedIn?
  • (2017-08-29, v:1.5.0) Mike Lissner: Firefox Version?
Firefox now supports many of the same APIs as Chrome. Any chance you'll make a Firefox version of this?
