This extension was mainly inspired by a userscript named GMail Basic HTML Enhancement.
This extension enabled user
* Relocation labels to top of messages list
* Select All button
* Search shortcut like :unread, 2 week older
* Save the last selected action in [Go] menu
* Create [New label] in filter wizard, no need to create it ahead

This used to work but with Google's new changes forced on us this year it no longer brings back the basic HTML.
