Miro Web Clipper
Description from store

Capture and save webpage screenshots directly into your Miro library

Miro is the online collaborative whiteboard platform that enables distributed teams to work effectively together, from brainstorming with digital sticky notes to planning and managing Agile workflows.

With the Miro Web Clipper Chrome extension, you can add screenshots to Miro boards to easily annotate, provide feedback, drive inspiration and innovate on existing web pages.

With this extension you can simply drag and drop files from your desktop or file manager right onto the board. You can also take screenshots of websites in your browser and instantly save them into your Miro library. The first mode takes a screenshot of the entire visible area of the selected tab, the second mode allows you to capture a selected rectangular area, and the third mode allows you to capture the entire page. When you're ready to add the saved web pages to the board, find the Upload tool on the Toolbar in Miro and choose Web Clipper.

Getting started
1. After installation, the extension will automatically be enabled and become active.
2. Refresh tabs with active Miro boards so that the extension works correctly. You only have to do this once — after the initial installation.
3. The extension currently supports Google Chrome. It will not work in other browsers (including Chromium).

Total garbage. Says I don't have a Miro account even though I'm logged into my Miro account in a tab right next to the tab I'm trying to clip. This is the same thing that was happening over a year ago. Extension is obviously not getting any attention so it should just be removed from the web store until they can ship a working version.

doesn't work, shame such popular company and cant maintain a small extension.

The extension is completely non-functional (it won't let you take any screenshots or save anything). This is due to a bug which has been known about by Miro since at least Feb 2024. Miro has stated: "Our Engineering team is aware of this issue. At this stage of product development, the team is focused on building new features and other improvements, and Miro Web Clipper is on lower priority. Therefore, we can't share any ETA on when this will be fixed." Until it's fixed, don't install.

miro just can't stay up with the competition despite their higher pricing! this extension doesn't work and as you can see from reviews miro doesn't care! try boardmix - it works and does a better job than slow and clunky miro

This doesn't work. Not sure if the Miro team see the replies here! The tool just seems to be useless.

I have installed the extension but when I go to click on the button to add it to my board, it keeps wanting me to Install it again when I can see my images right there :(

This addon is as usefull as any SCREENSHOT app there is. Actually its more complicated to use than taking a screenshot using windows built-in SNIPPING TOOL or GREENSHOT into clipboard and pasting it into MIRO board. The only chance this addon could be made usefull compared to simply taking a screenshot to clipboard and pasting into MIRO, is if it would save URL with each grabbed picture and transfer it as embeded link along with the picture into MIRO. Each clipping inside MIRO would become a clickable object with embeded link that would take you to the original webpage. If thats something that would interest you please UPVOTE HERE: https://community.miro.com/ideas/miro-web-clipper-to-embed-link-source-url-into-captured-screenshot-12090

The Chrome extension has to be the worst part of Miro. Rarely works properly and now just gives an error message that it seems other are getting saying I'm not logged in - despite there not being an option to log in.

Working for me, but the image quality is a bit poor when the page is quite long. It's hard to read detail on the page.

Not as good as the old web clipper inside Miro itself (where you could add web link in Miro and it would import the high res. website image with an active link). I still miss that tool and the functionality it brought. This extension used to be really rubbish, but to be fair to Miro it has improved from where it was and doesn't fail that regularly any more. However, still struggles with long pages and imports them as unreadably low resolution/blurry text—so I end up having to use FireShot and chop the screenshot into sections. It also doesn't import an active website link for the screenshot which is a real pain too as you then have to add this separately. In regards the login error message, I found you need to sign out of Miro and sign back in again to get rid of the "Oops.. It seems that you don't have any Miro accounts. Please, log in with another profile" message. You have to do this every so often. It won't recognise if you are already logged in.

Doesn't work. Just gives the error 'Oops.. It seems that you don't have any Miro accounts. Please, log in with another profile.' but doesn't give you any way to log in to the extension.

There is very little information on how to use this. I had to search here to figure where "The Library" is where screenshots are stored. Whenever I access the app within the miro app, i'm asked to "install it" regardless of whether or not I already have, and sometimes my screenshots don't even appear in the library at all. Original tool worked like a charm. This, eh....

A great help for working with Miro boards. But for some reason it doesn't react anymore. It just shows the 3 options (Visible/Selected/Full Screen) but does not react to my selection. (Chrome on MacOS with M1)

It is really handy and I was happy to find it, until I used the first images. The definition is terrible, the image is blurry and with an undesirable border that we have to crop. Using Chrome F12 dev tool Capture Screenshot gives me a limpid image. I am disappointed that you cannot give me the same quality, because it would be really cool. Uninstalling.
