- (2021-11-11) Pat MySecret: When you use it, buttons appear at bottom of page. Sadly it messes with the layout of some site viewing even if I'm not extracting from them, which is a pretty bad/confusing glitch, so I disable it most of the time, or it would have gotten 5 stars, but I'm happily impressed otherwise. I was using it to get past ad and image clutter when I wanted to copy info, but I've switched over to Reader extensions to make copy/paste easier, and so far I note that Abridge won't extract from my Reader View extension. Abridge does not get past paywalls. The Timeline function seems to be a very worthy tool even if info accuracy must be checked. I've started to test Summarizers for intelligence and I have to say, that I find this one pretty intelligent so far. Intelligent things that I think I am seeing.. It seems to skip paragraphs with hypothetical/rhetorical questions. It seems to skip paragraphs that lead with "blanket" wording.. ie. "all" "some(thing)". It seems to skip subindexes though it left the preface word ex. including: ..so it's always good to proofread. I doubt that you will find this level of intelligent selection in most other Summarizers.
- (2021-10-30) mary Havok: I was hopeful, but for some reason the times I attempted to use it there was no summary available, I might give it another try in some months or so .. saved it as a bookmark .. because this would HELP me SOOO much ...
- (2021-10-23) Cole Gramith: It's perfect for reddit and online articles. It's smooth and gives more information than usually needed. I just can't believe how unpopular this is, especially considering how this particular extension is way more superior to almost, if not, all other summarizers. Abridge is probably the reason I have an A in AP history!
- (2021-04-20) Liv S: Makes my research work and summarising academic literature so easy and so simplistic when I'm doing my assignments. I have a variety of different chrome extenstions relating to Abridge. However, this extension by far one of my faviourities. It simplifies the articles/academic research and it denotes the main key ideas, forming it to summaries and key facets. I also realise that this extenion hightlights and underlines key points on the webpage. Makes it so simple to now read the main ideas and key concepts instead of having to read the entire research studies, which would have taken me hours. This extension is a lifesaver. It saves me lots of time researching, reading the news, or just any web article without losing accuracy or important data. Brilliant.
