"Dragon Ball Z" (DRAGON BALLZ (Zetto)), the second in the "Dragon Ball" series, was adapted from the famous Japanese cartoonist Toriyama Akira's eponymous "Dragon Ball" comics on April 19, 1989 in Fuji TV, Japan. The first broadcast was completed on January 31, 1996.
