Description from store Rest your eyes regularly, prevent eye strain, and be more productive with LUMES 20-20-20! What is the 20-20-20 rule? Our eyes have to put in more effort when we read from a screen. The reason is because what we see is made up of pixels, tiny areas of color that form the whole image. Our eyes have to constantly focus and relax to read pixels, which puts more stress on our eye muscles. A good way to ensure your eyes get some rest is the 20-20-20 rule, which recommends that people using digital devices should look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds, every 20 minutes. How does it work? LUMES 20-20-20 can help reduce eye strain by prompting you to take regular breaks from the screen. The default settings are 20 minutes with 20 seconds rest. If you want to make the timer and break shorter or longer that’s possible too. Feedback? Help us keep LUMES 20-20-20 working for you. • (2023-10-18) Michal Struck: NEEDS SOUNDS. That is all. Small simple and works as it should. Not having sounds made me use a pomodoro extension though.
  • (2022-08-29) Davide Violante: It would be nice if it autostarts when Chrome starts. I always forget to start it by myself.
  • (2021-05-23) Danger Dove: 1 suggestion. Add sounds. It will be a lot more easy to comeback after looking away.
  • (2021-02-25) Lucas Johnson: Works very well but I wish it made a sound
  • (2021-01-16) javad mnjd: Finally one extention that doesn't require nonsense permissions. I don't know how it's gonna work, but I hope it gets updated if there is any need (based on old reviews)
  • (2020-09-29) Ben R: I liked the idea and was excited about it. It works ok. Every time I try and change the break time or in-between time, it forgot it by the next day and just went back to 20-20. Pretty frustrating if you wanna have a slightly longer break or use if for Pomodoro style working.
  • (2020-07-05) Mitsy Prada Herreño: It works just fine but it doesn't make any sound when the resting time is over so I don't really know when I can be back looking at the screen. I have to check looking at the screen again but then I looked at the screen again and I am not supposed to do that during the 20 seconds.
  • (2020-04-15) Venator: Alright.
  • (2020-01-29) Peter Taylor: It doesn't automatically restart the work timer after a break.
  • (2019-06-02) Andy Kehoe: My job consists of spending long hours in front of a pc screen. This app does a great job at making sure I take regular breaks and give my eyes the rest they need!
