AutoDec - Automatically Decline Cookie Banners & Interruptive Prompts
AutoDec streamlines your browsing by automatically dismissing the consent popups and in-page prompts that appear across countless websites each day.
It works quietly in the background, identifying cookie banners and notification requests, and selecting the most privacy-friendly decline option when it is clearly available.
No clutter. No interruptions. No constant clicking through the same prompts — AutoDec keeps your browsing experience fast, focused, and frustration-free.
What AutoDec Does
• Automatically rejects cookie banners
AutoDec detects common cookie consent popups and selects the strictest available option, such as:
- “Reject all”, “Decline”, or “Only essential”.
When multiple choices appear, it chooses the privacy-protective one based on your saved settings.
If a prompt cannot be confidently identified, AutoDec leaves it untouched - ensuring safety and predictability.
• Automatically declines in-page notification prompts
Many websites display embedded “Allow notifications?” prompts that are not part of the browser’s native dialog.
AutoDec recognises these and automatically clicks:
“No thanks”, “Not now”, or “Decline”, whenever the meaning is clear and unambiguous.
• Smart, context-aware detection
AutoDec is designed to act only when it is certain. It avoids risky automation, does not make assumptions, and never interacts with unrelated page elements.
• Simple, clear privacy controls
The extension includes a lightweight options page that allows you to enable or disable each type of automatic action. Your choices are saved locally using Chrome’s built-in storage, with no external communication.
• Runs silently in the background
There is nothing for you to open or manage while browsing. AutoDec activates only when a supported banner or prompt appears, performs its action, and stays out of the way.
Privacy First Design
AutoDec is built for people who care about privacy and minimalism:
- No data collection
- No tracking
- No analytics
- No remote servers
- No network requests
- No logging of browsing activity
All detection happens locally within the page you are viewing. No information ever leaves your device.
Lightweight & Efficient
AutoDec is intentionally minimal — no dashboards, no heavy scripts, and no unnecessary overhead.
It loads quickly, uses very little memory, and remains practically invisible while it works.

*AutoDec - 1.0.7 - Update Notes
• Improved consent banner detection reliability
AutoDec now detects and handles a wider range of cookie and privacy prompts with greater accuracy, including banners embedded inside iframes commonly used by major publishers.
• Added iframe support (all Frames Mode)
Some websites load consent dialogs inside nested frames. AutoDec v1.0.7 now processes these frames safely, allowing consistent behaviour across more sites.
• Expanded keyword matching for cookie and privacy options
This update includes a refined and extended list of detection phrases to better recognise “Essential only”, “Reject all”, and similar consent options.
• Performance and stability improvements
Optimised scanning and improved handling of dynamic elements to reduce resource use and increase responsiveness.
• Strengthened safety checks
Additional safeguards ensure AutoDec only interacts with clearly identified consent elements - not general navigation links or unrelated UI controls.
• High-confidence mode enabled by default
Ensures AutoDec operates conservatively and only when the surrounding context confirms a genuine consent prompt.
If you have feedback or encounter a banner AutoDec misses, feel free to reach out so we can continue improving compatibility.

- I tried this out after downloading their other extensions and like the others, it actually works. Simple and effective without having to sign up or pay. I'll definitely be checking out the rest now.

- Simple and clean. Actually does the job it's meant to do, and quietly in the background to, all without any setup, but you also have options you can adjust by opening the options menu after clicking the icon. Looks like it's updated regularly and private as well as being free, so big plus.
