This simple extension forces Chrome to open new tabs instead of new windows.
If the extension stops working randomly, try disabling "Energy Saver" under Chrome Settings > Performance > Power.

- Hello. I just updated Chrome. Now every time a pop-up pops up, closes chrome entirely. Is this an issue with the extension, with my computer or Chrome?

- Normally works great. Sometime in the last week, something has started making this crash Chrome. I am no longer seeing crashes after disabling only this extension. The issue doesn't seem to impact the "show as tab" native option. Happy to update review after it's fixed because I'm struggling to find a good alternative.

- Great extension, love it. But to confirm a previous review, this version (1.2.2) crashed Chrome (version 142.0.7444.60) when moving a pop up to a new tab.

- Only works half the time. First click will often open in a new window. need to close it out, then click again, then it will open a tab. Very frustrating. The old extension worked great, and for whatever reason, it was discontinued.

- First time a link is clicked on it's opens in a new window. Will open in a tab after closing the window and clicking the link again. I would love for it to work 100% of the time.

- It even open in a tab pop-ups from search fields (that you can't middle or ctrl click). Great! suggestion: open the pop-up inside the same tab group.

- My old extension worked like 100% of the time but this one like works 25% of the time. But the old one was manifest v2 so chrome disabled it.

- Works well - however, I have a popup that I do want/need to go as pop-up (that doesn't work right when open as tab). Is there a way to add "exception" sites that would open as Popup? For now - my workaround - is to turn the extension on and off as needed.

- Sadly this extension is broken in my Opera GX for Dynamics 365, I have to move to OperaOne and it works. Please fix the extension for OperaGX it's a little bit better than OperaOne. Still 5 stars for you guys, I can't believe my coworker are not using this and have to work with all those pop up windows all the time.
