• (2025-01-05) PTheN: It's been a while since the huge update, and now that it's been "fixed", I can genuinely say that this is the best Pixiv Tool. Just make sure to adjust the configuration before using it! Give it a try.

It used to save to whatever the last Chrome save location was, now its just the default 'relative' Chrome location which is a downloads folder I never use. • (2024-09-19) Sordeliel: A recent update made the overall browser experience worse; While on twitter, trying to save an image will take a good 15-30 seconds to load. Disabling the extension fixes the issue. Until that problem is resolved, I will give back a good review.

• (2024-09-16) Johnny Doe: Don't know if it was because of the changes to how extensions but it's pretty bad now: - (2024/09/16) a new recent issue (at least on Opera GX) is that when you let the extension activated it makes downloading images from anything take like half a minute or more to start, which is pretty weird when it is supposed to only be working on pixiv/fanbox pages...the "fix" is to just it be "on" when you gonna download something with it and turn it off after. - The extension create folders when you download when it didn't in the past, also its forced to start at the download folder of the browser when it was working fine in past versions with the last download folder you picked - Before it could understand if you wanted to download more than one page it would download as a zip and if you wanted one image it would download just that, now you are forced to download one by one or zipping even if its just one image, awful - Before it could warn that if you downloaded an image or images before but allowing to do it again if you want (useful if you deleted on your HD or wanted to save in multiple folders), now it forces you to go into the "download manager", deleting the entry and then you can download it again - Never had to deal with the internal "download manager" that's more annoying than useful. - Zipped doujins or anything are broken with their naming, at least with the p{page_number}, it literally end the zip with... p{"page number"} (not 00, 01...the literal writing lol)

• (2024-09-09) Eric: Since this app was "upgraded" it makes Chrome slow down tremendously when trying to save anything on any site: any image, file, anything, it now takes Chrome anywhere from 10-30 seconds for the save dialogue box to open. Went through my extensions one by one and identified this one as the problem. As the old saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. There was nothing wrong with this app, it worked perfectly, and now it's trash.

First they removed the ease and functionality of downloading gifs and videos and while they did make it better, its still not as good as it was before and its just like literally why did you change it from something that was working perfectly? Now with the most recent update, they have broken the ''save image as'' option, making it take 30+ seconds for it to show up.

Outside of removing the extension, a solution I found so far is listed in the following: 1. Click the Pixiv Toolkit Extension icon 2. Click "Settings" (this should open a new page showing Pixiv Toolkit's settings) 3. Scroll down to "Others" 4. Click "EXPORT" then "All Settings" which should save the settings as a file 5. Click "IMPORT" then "All Settings" and then select the previous file settings that you just saved This should fix the slow down issue, if not then turn off the extension and wait for a new update.

• (2024-08-24) Nick: Latest update has introduced an absurd degree of lag while attempting to download any file from any site, regardless of your download speed. "Save As" prompts, for example, take anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds before appearing.

I've tried messing with the rename settings and reloading multiple times and nothing, the name only is correct in the download manager, but it doesn't rename the file itself, which is worthless. It feels like the settings don't change anything. Why does a separate Pixiv toolkit tab now have to be open every time now? It's also disappointing that the only extension now available when downloading novels is txt...and the renaming function doesn't work for that either Update: I finally fixed the naming convention, but if the naming option doesn't exist (for instance, you want the "Series Title" IF IT EXISTS in the name, so you choose that option in the rename settings), it will just put "{Series Title}" in the file name now instead of excluding it like it did before. It's so ridiculously stupid I had to laugh. I also uninstallled and reinstalled this extension as part of the troubleshooting, and now it never remembers where I last saved a file, it just defaults to the Downloads folder every time which is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING
• (2024-08-24) ShadowFlower15: Having this extension open is causing terrible lag when opening the ctrl + s Save As menu. With the extension enabled, it takes 20-30 seconds. When it's disabled, it opens immediately like it's supposed to. Also agree with the other reviews about the new version being a downgrade in almost every way compared to the old version.
• (2024-08-19) Aziz アジズ: On multiple images, when only selecting & downloading a file it automatically downloads the whole batch which kinda lose the feature's purpose to begin with. Other than that, most of the things are working like the way the were like the old version for illustrations. Not sure about ugoira or anything else.
