You can also add your custom hotkey to hide controls. Bonus: even hides the play pause animation, thus giving us a clear screen with no interrupts in the video.

I set up D as the shortcut because is next to F (which is used for full screen), also because J K and L are taken for rewind pause/play and forward. I love using keyboard shortcuts and this is great. The main reason I installed it is because sometimes (especially during tutorials) important information is unreadable behind the progress bar and controls when you pause the video and there was no way to hide it. This extensions solves that problem. Great Job!!!
