The 'Universal Smart Card Browser Gateway' enables access to a smart card attached to your computer.
Some of our web applications require access to a smart card inserted into your smart card reader for various use cases. This extension is a "native messaging extension" and works in conjunction with an application installed on your computer, which is also provided by the web application for installation. Without the extension or the native installed host application, the web applications cannot access your smart card. Access is restricted to the domains telesec.de and wcos.de.
