Blur Rabbit – Hide Sensitive Data for Screen Share
Description from store

🔒 Blur Rabbit blurs sensitive page content in Chromium before it shows up in a screen share, live demo, or recording — so you can walk through real CRM, admin, and analytics UIs without exposing prices, contacts, deal IDs, or other PII.

💻 Masking runs in the page, locally in your browser: saved rules and toggles, no upload of your screen to a server. Works with the same stack you already use for calls (Meet, Zoom, Teams, etc.) and for async clips — one privacy layer for the web app in frame.

📍 When this shows up

- Live proof on a real account, not a sandbox — but client names and numbers stay off-screen.
- Many tabs or clients in one day — you need a repeatable safe view, not a new staging environment per call.
- Projector or video call — same risk: control what the audience sees inside the browser window.

👥 Who tends to use it

- B2B presales / SE: POCs in real CRM or admin tools — hide row-level detail, keep the flow believable.
- Consultants and agencies: consecutive calls — domain- and page-scoped rules reduce mixing contexts.
- Course and internal training authors: recurring lessons on real tools — masks that survive across sessions.

✅ What “good” means

Rules should survive scroll, SPA navigation, and lazy-loaded grids — visibility control during the session, not a single captured screenshot. A shortcut plus stored rules cuts prep when “share screen” lands without notice.

🧰 What you get

- Global blur toggle — one switch for masking across tabs; keyboard shortcut Alt+S
- Mask groups — stack rules by scope: everywhere, this site (domain), exact page, or URL pattern (wildcards)
- Pick elements — point-and-click to save masks; stable selectors with smart fallbacks for SPAs
- Auto-blur sensitive text — optional live detection for email, phone, card-like numbers, money/prices, IBAN, order refs, sensitive inputs
- Smart Scan — scan the visible page and add masks from the same patterns you enabled
- Peek (optional) — hold a modifier and hover to briefly read a blurred value when you need to verify
- Anti-flash — reduce raw-content flashes while the page loads
- Import / export — JSON backup of your mask setup

🌐 Scope

Chromium web pages only. Masking does not apply to native desktop apps or to screen areas outside the browser.

❓ FAQ

Does it upload my screen?
→ No. Blur is applied in the page DOM on your machine. We do not process your screen in the cloud.

Does it work outside the browser?
→ Only content inside web pages in Chromium. Other apps are out of scope.

Will Auto-blur catch everything?
→ It covers common patterns; odd layouts still benefit from Pick elements or Smart Scan and per-site rules.

Same UI in every Chromium-based browser?
→ Chrome can use the side panel. Browsers without that API open the same setup as a compact extension popup.
