A tool for designers to measure screen dimensions

This extension measures the dimensions from your mouse pointer up/down and left/right until it hits a border. So if you want to measure distances between elements on a website this is perfect. It doesn't really work with images because there the colors change a lot pixel to pixel.
# Images & HTML Elements
Measure between the following elements: images, input-fields, buttons, videos, gifs, text, icons. You can measure everything you see in the browser.
# Mockups
Your designer handed you mockups as PNGs or JPEGs? Just drop them into Chrome, activate Dimensions and start measuring.
# Keyboard Shortcut
You can start and stop dimensions with the ALT + D shortcut.
# Area Boundaries
Wanna get the radius of a circle? Is text standing in your way? Press Alt to measure the dimensions of a connected area.
# Open Source
Dimensions is Open Source and hosted on Github. Want to port it to Firefox? Go ahead and fork it. Pull requests are welcome! https://github.com/mrflix/dimensions

- this is the best measurement tool I've ever used - I've been using it for years - it so quick and easy to use - and now Chrome have disabled it - and there's no alternatives that are anywhere as near as good as this

- This is so simple to use and makes it easy to measure exactly the thing you want. I tried Measuremate and Designer Tools, but they were buggy and confusing to use. (They make it hard to measure a particular thing; you just click randomly and pray. They also don't play nicely with the responsive view of dev tools.) Dimensions is perfect. Plus, this extension apparently doesn't collect or sell data. 5/5.

- This plugin works, but not everywhere, and this is not the worst thing about it. In fact, I have conducted a test in Figma, where I typically require additional measurements, and I have observed that this plugin yields inaccurate data. If I change the zoom of the canvas, the measuring brakes and after relaunching, the value changes compared to the previous one. Furthermore, the plugin is ineffective if the zoom level of the webpage is not 100%

- It sort of works and it sort of doesn't. First you have to make sure the extension icon is lit for the site you are trying to measure. Then you have to fight the browser. The ALT+D shortcut just highlights the address bar. For some pages and some CSS elements it snaps to the wrong things making it useless, but for others it works fine. YMMV

- it's working fine for me.. BTW if you have a popup on your site (or any other element with a very high z-index) just add this lines on the main style.css .fn-noCursor { z-index: 1000001; } .fn-dimensions { z-index: 1000000; } and you can even change to your favorite color as well ;) .fn-axis { background: royalblue; }

- Es una herramienta útil pero da mediciones incorrectas, haciendo la suma de div a div, da una medición totalmente distinta a la que hace por ejemplo si la pongo de extremo a extremo en los div.
