The AMP Project is all about improving the reading experience on mobile devices but it's not a technology limited to mobile.
This Chrome Extension gives desktop users the same benefits and is controlled by them.
You set which pages, which domains you want to see AMP versions on. By default any time we find an AMP version we'll show it instead of the original page but you can set up your own preferences.

- (2017-03-26) John Campbell: This is great. There are a couple of minor complaints however: 1) Clean up the console.log. 2) Maybe add a stylesheet to limit the width of the page. Something like body {max-width: 700px } would be great. I love this thing, and I everyone I tell about it loves it as well. Very nice work. I am sure it will catch on, as it is *much* better than ad blockers for reading news quickly.

- (2016-02-29) Jules Archinova: Good plugin, would be nice to be able to open a tab with all website specific settings to be able to reset them without hunting them. Would also be nice to be able to set settings for regex.
