✅ How It Works
Sourdough is 100% read-only, highly performant and safe. Uses ServiceNow's APIs, respects your existing permissions, requires zero configuration. No update sets, no security changes, no data collection involved. It uses industry standard authentication to access the instance securely.
Note: Currently, only 'itil' and 'admin' users can use this plugin, it simply won't work for other users.
Freemium model: Core functionality is and always will be free. Premium features unlock unlimited search, detailed analytics, and advanced monitoring tools. 14-day free trial gives you full access to everything. After that trial, you can decide to stay on the free version or upgrade. Payments are handled securely via Stripe.
Sourdough uses ServiceNow's secure g_ck authentication token to safely access your instance data without storing credentials.

- Didn’t expect to like this as much as I do. Installed it out of curiosity from a Reddit post and ended up keeping it. It surfaces a lot of stuff that normally takes digging, like failed outbound calls, weird performance spikes, CMDB gaps, etc. The big win for me is speed: instead of jumping between 5 tables and logs, it’s just… there. UI has gotten noticeably cleaner since launch too. Feels like it’s being actively built by someone who actually uses ServiceNow every day. I've got the rest of my team using this now. Easily the best Chrome Extension out there for the ServiceNow platform.

- I've been working with Servicenow for 12 years, so I’ve seen a lot of tools come and go. I was hoping this one would make my admin and developer tasks easier, but I didn't find much that helped in my day-to-day work. The user interface feels a bit cluttered, with a lot of information squeezed into small windows, which makes it hard to use efficiently. Another concern is the level of permissions the plugin requests. That alone is a red flag in our security review process. While the risk of data loss might be low, it's still something I have to consider. My main suggestion would be to focus on improving the UI and aim to deliver features that add clear value to Servicenow admins and developers. Right now, many of the features seem unnecessary, especially since most of us wouldn’t leave the Servicenow UI just to use this plugin. In the end, I uninstalled the plugin after a few minutes. Hope this feedback helps you improve the tool. - VK

- Really solid extension for ServiceNow admins. The dashboards and charts make it easy to spot issues before they become problems, and the Power Search saves me a ton of time. Setup is effortless, it just works right away. The environment switcher and dark mode are nice touches too. Definitely recommend if you spend your days in ServiceNow.

- Sourdough is a beautiful and fast ServiceNow monitoring plugin. It's a game changer for ServiceNow development. I love the logging & developer tabs, we've got some performance issues (that we didn't even know about) that the Slow Queries section highlighted for us. Truly enjoying it so far.
