A simple Chrome Extension to quickly duplicate events on Google Calendar.
This extension adds a "Duplicate event" icon on the event preview card, letting you quickly duplicate it with one single click.
You can also quickly duplicate an event by holding alt (option on Mac OS) while clicking the event.

- (2023-10-23) Andy: Does what it says, made life a lot easier. Silly that this extension is even required, wish Google Calendar let you duplicate drop and drag itself
- (2023-10-20) Everett Wee: Simple and effective. Thank you to the creator of this extension!
- (2023-09-11) Bob Franca: Definitely better than the cumbersome option google has for this. A great time-saver for me.
- (2023-08-19) Stephen Zimmer: Seems to duplicate but immediately places the duplicate at the same time of the original event without allowing me to change the event to a different date and or time. So, it does duplicate, but why not duplicate and keep the duplicate event open in order to change details before closing and saving?
- (2023-08-13) Bogdan Radičević: Properly duplicates a task but changes the view from "week" to "day" wasting more of my time and clicks instead of saving it.
- (2023-07-29) Kim Rock: Not working after 2 uses... Removed it within minutes as it would change from week view to day view after only one time duplicating an event. I would have to go back to week view and start again, then it may work or not. Really hoped it would've worked!
- (2023-07-20) Ke Ve: Very clever
- (2023-07-09) Michal Poduch: Does what it says on the tin! Saves me a bunch of time for planning out my week. If you're duplicating events a little further in the future (a month ahead) , it seems to change to day view from week view. Not sure why.
- (2023-06-13) Cameron Geisler: Update: Now works again! Beautiful. May 28th: Doesn't seem to work anymore unfortunately. Clicking the duplicate button does nothing.
- (2023-06-12) Labo Labo: ちょっと前まで使えなくなっていたけど、また使えるようになりました! 本当に神機能!ありがとう!! This extention is not works a few days but now works well!!! I really like this!! Thanks!!
- (2023-06-04) Bill Wolff: For some reason it stopped working today. It really helped me out with my productivity but now it just doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Please fix
- (2023-05-30) Marjen Jafarbay: Stopped working today. It used to save me lots of time, but now it's just frustrating. I uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my computer... nothing. Please fix it!
- (2023-05-07) Joel Edwards: Sadly creates more work than it saves. After Alt clicking an event it takes you to a day view of a seemingly random day of the week with no duplicated event. When you then go to the day of the week your original event was on it has a duplicate event there. Not useful unfortunately.
- (2023-04-26) Marine BOCQUET: A good addon, does what it says but has a major bug that made me remove two stars: - there is a bug that change your view to day when you use it. not always, but sometimes, you'll be send to day view, instead of week or month, or whatever you had. It's rather annoying, so, removing a star
- (2023-01-05) Rev_dude: I frankly can't believe google doesn't have an easier way to duplicate events, but thank you for making this. It works, but only for events, not tasks or reminders. I hardly use either of these, so it's no big deal for me, but consider your use case. I wonder if this is essentially a macro button since it goes through the dialogue to create a new event.
- (2022-12-30) Sjel Saltzherr: It changes my view in calendar after using it. So it doesn't save me clicks at all.
- (2022-12-22) Joe Martinez: Doesn't seem to work with Focus Time events
- (2022-12-02) Ben Nelemans: Copies an agenda item rapidly, which is nice, but it returns the agenda view to day instead of week. Is this a bug, or can this be updated? Thanks!
- (2022-11-14) guy c: Bit rubbish - still too many clicks and should be default behaviour, not just a Chrome Only extension Basically, ctrl + click and drag is a far more efficient duplication option and should be the basic default behaviour. Instead we have "Duplicate" or this Chrome only extension. Duplicate is terrible. This is moderately better, but could be done away with by giving us true keyboard shortcuts. Ctrl C / Ctrl V, or Ctrl and drag to a new day would be awesome. This is a proprietary software bandaid rather than a solution.
- (2022-11-14) Vinh Nguyen Van: Still some bug but almost OK . Thanks bro <3
- (2022-11-07) Mateusz Duda: For Events it works fine. However, the "duplicate" icon is added to Tasks as well, where it is bugged. Whenever I click "duplicate" on a Task, it's being deleted. And when I try to undo the action, I cannot undelete it (the task appear only for a milisecond and is deleted again).
- (2022-11-01) Gay-Keong Tan: works perfectly, genius!
- (2022-10-24) Dekel Hillel: Can you add option to duplicate more than once?
- (2022-10-20) Wimpers: Does not work, it pops open but then disappears as fast without doing anything at all. Or I must be doing something wrong?
- (2022-10-16) Greg Bishop: Great time saver! Works great. A few tips that helped me get the most out of this while duplicating events: 1. Change the custom view to 4 weeks (Calendar Setting via gear icon > View Settings > Set custom view) and show the monthly calendar in the left panel. This allowed me to look at any 4 week time period rather than 4 days when pressing (X). 2. After duplicating an event, use (X) to return to the 4 week view to make moving to a new time/day. MUCH faster than anything else I tried. Thanks!
- (2022-09-19) Vincent Thierry: This Plugin will change how you use your Google Calendar forever. I couldn't live without it anymore.
- (2022-08-28) John Bodu: works very well. really like it. many thanks!!
- (2022-08-02) Tami Laughlin: Great! Thank you very much to the person who developed this!
- (2022-07-27) Olivié Charbonneau (Créanimages): Simple et efficace, comme annoncé.
- (2022-06-05) Frederick Basken: fantastic extension, does what it does perfectly and with no fuss or extra parts
- (2022-05-30) Nikolai Bozhenov: It could be a great extension if it worked with tasks. Instead, it deletes any task that I try to duplicate.
- (2022-05-18) kristi prifti: Thank You . You doing something that google should have done a long time ago. Great work .
- (2022-05-17) Michael Becker: Works great! I can't believe this feature isn't built into google itself! Works exactly as described and MUCH faster than doing it manually!
- (2022-05-12) Bartosz Woltański: Thank you! I needed this so much. May Odin bless your glourious self.
- (2022-05-07) E J: Absolute thundercocked Chad. Thank you for sharing this. I was 2 second away from trying to make my own out of frustration.
- (2022-04-20) Sebastián Cardozo: Simple and very helpful!
- (2022-02-11) Daniel Cervenkov: Great timesaver. Sometimes seems to switch to a different view (3-day) from the one I'm using (week), though. Ideally, I'd like to see an extension (or native GCal functionality) that would allow me to CTRL-drag an event to a different day/time to clone it. Since that doesn't seem to exist, this is the next best thing.
- (2021-10-29) Taha Khudhur: Great functionality
- (2021-09-30) Ian Lyons: I love this for putting in the same information for different dates. Duplicate the event , then in the monthly schedule just drag the duplicated event to the appropriate date I want. Done. This extension has saved me so much hassle and time. As others have stated "Keep your finger on the keyboard shortcut key so you can quickly jump back (W) for week (X) for 4 days" - has some tendency to switch between the monthly to daily view.
- (2021-09-12) Appuntamenti TSA: WORKS GREAT :-) I've been waiting this for this for a long time Thank you so much
- (2021-08-26) Ido Sever: simple and works great. great job!
- (2021-06-01) Timothy Barbarino: Bit clunky but adds an absolutely vital feature that I can't believe isn't built in by our Google overlords.
- (2021-05-08) Siân: Love the functionality but the bug of it switching to a random day in day view is making it just as cumbersome as doing it without the extension.
- (2021-03-29) Mathcott: COULD be super helpful, but everytime I use it it takes me from the "week" view I normally use back to the "day" view - and three days back, so it actually creates more work to duplicate something. Love the idea, few tweaks and it could be great!
- (2021-03-10) Максим Журавлев: Just works
- (2020-11-17) Jean-Christophe Cabot: I've been waiting for this for such a long time ! Thank you so much !
- (2020-11-02) Jochem van der Zaag: Amazing functionality, thank you for making this! However, it doesnt seem to work with out-of-office events, and seeing as these cannot be made as repeating events, i would want to use this extension for that purpose.
- (2020-10-01) Erich Luedtke: Excellent timesaver. It makes time blocking repetitive tasks much easier to duplicate/create. An easy way to duplicate an event on the same calendar with the same length and title is a feature that has been missing from Google calendar from the start, I'm grateful for this little shortcut. TIP: If you run into the problem of the view changing like Katiana had. Keep your finger on the keyboard shortcut key so you can quickly jump back (W) for week (X) for 4 days etc - Hit Reload on the page if it starts taking you back a couple of weeks or something Simplistic & safe implementation too. It doesn't require calendar authorization, it is simply doing all the painstaking steps you normally do clicking and going into menus -- though it does this really fast. Thank you!
- (2020-07-17) Katiana Louis: Such a timesaver. I love it and will use it forever. However with the new update whenever I duplicate an event it takes me back 12 days and with a different view "week" instead of "four days." This is extremely frustrating, as you can imagine.
