Unbreakable ID (UbID) decentralized web local node is your personal and application secure data storage.
Unbreakable ID (UbID) Decentralized Web Node (DWN) is a personal and application secure data storage mechanism that entities or applications can use to locate public or private permissioned data related to a given Decentralized Identifier (DID) or decentralized name.
When you install the Unbreakable ID Decentralized Web Node extension, it will have Local Node role. It runs only on your browser or device. Only the user can access it with its private and public encryption keys. The individual could use it to store their data securely, which is encrypted at rest using the user's private key. UbID does not have access to any key for decryption.
There are different roles concerning deploying an UbID decentralized web node, a remote node, and a local node. They are all the same thing. Still in practice, a local node may be used slightly differently than a remote node.
UbID Decentralized Web Local Node: Software node that runs on the person’s phone, computer, or other device, and it is not expected to be always connected to the internet.
UbID Decentralized Web Remote Node: Remote software nodes are meant to be highly available and always reachable from other services. The local node interacts and registers data in the remote node.
UbID ensures that users own their digital identity, personal data, and application data. This is accomplished using the Unbreakable ID Decentralized Web Local and Remote Nodes. Users can get identity proofing and authentication. The data can be shared with your web application and other applications while maintaining security and privacy. The recurring authentication of users to your application is private.
