Was great, but after recent update 2nd gen doesn't work anymore. Its seems as most of the consumers prefer 2nd gen but reddit in its all mighty wisdom is naturally pushing a terrible version

This extension has been a sanity saver, but Reddit has again pushed an update that breaks it's 2nd gen functionality. I will update this review with 5 stars if/when the extension works again. Until then, I refuse to use Reddit in any way, shape, or form. I will not comply with Reddit's demand to use their dysfunctional UI for data collection and AI training purposes.

Great extension for restoring the 2nd generation Reddit UI as it is MUCH better than the current UI. As of March 24, 2025, it no longer works for that use. Once this gets fixed, I will update this rating to the 5 stars it deserves when it works.

this extension erased my suffering by bringing back the old reddit UI , but now it seems like it's broke and keeps on reloading over and over , i hope the devs find a fix very soon

LOVE this extension for allowing me to go back to 2nd gen Reddit, instead of the jank UI they got now! Only marking 4 stars bc of a bug that has yet to be fixed in the last few months... When using the back button on my browser, it always redirects me twice (neither of which were previously visited): First click goes to my home feed on Reddit. Second click goes to the "Create a Post" page in the UIChangerForReddit subreddit. I still highly recommend this extension! I'd just love for that bug to get fixed please!

I want to give this 5 stars because I can finally use 2nd Generation again, but there are two issues: 1. Opening images and links within Reddit using 2nd Generation has problems like infinite loading or pages not fully loading. 2. When using the back button on my browser, it always redirects me to the UIChangerForReddit subreddit. If these issues get fixed, it’ll be perfect.

When you try open an image using the 2nd Generation UI, it just loops over and over and never opens it

I HAVE to make a new review. Bless you for allowing us to see the 2nd Gen site again (though slightly concerned about having to "submit a post" to the sub). Not that I dislike the 3rd gen site, I just hate that blue/green-ish tint. If there's a way to change that tint into a solid black/gray color, I might return to it. For now, 2nd gen is home. Thank you!

Doesn't work anymore, quite a shame, liked the 2nd gen UI the most. Edit: New update came out that helped bring back the 2nd gen UI which is great, but sometimes when you inject the UI again, a page pops up and nothing happens sometimes

Andre's extension is fantastic. It very easily allows you to switch between generations of Reddit. He's super responsive to email request too. I sent him an email and he redesigned the plugin, adding a number of features and resolving Reddit's constant attempts to break the second generation mode.

Really great, but stopped working today. I now get a message when going to any reddit link that says, "you have been blocked due to network policy" and cannot access anything on reddit without disabling the extension. The new design is cheeks. There should just be a way to choose your layout within your reddit account. Stupid. Edit: 1/8/25 - You are a saint.

new update broke the add-on, reddit won't load anymore now for me. Had to block this add-on's access to reddit.com for it to work, but i only use it for redd.it pictures anyway

This extention worked great until new.reddit was finally, officially EOL'd. So kudos to the creator and a big middle finger to the morons at reddit who insist on forcing broke and broken sh.reddit down our throats.

Extension is broken and no longer allows you to use reddit when on. You get a two many redirects error.
