9gag recently introduced a "feature" that shows a lot of spam in the notifications via the "replied to a comment you followed" notification. This makes the notification bell almost unusable for web users.

This plugin filters the notification list. With any button press, a filter is applied that leaves all notifications intact, but just removes the spam notifications from the list.
