Read on reMarkable
Extension Actions
Read web articles on your reMarkable with a click.
It’s now easier than ever to send web content to your reMarkable account. A standard click will send articles in a simplified text format, which also provides more adjustment possibilities. In addition, you have the option to right-click on the extension, to send your article as a PDF. Once the content is on your reMarkable account, you’ll be able to read and annotate without distractions on your paper tablet.
Good to know before installing:
* If you don’t already have an account at my.remarkable.com, you’ll need to create one
* Once installed you’ll find the extension icon at the top right of your Chrome window, beside the address bar
* Be mindful that each website has its own way of displaying content, which may change the formatting when it appears on your reMarkable account

- Since summer 2025 very good performance. Old bugs have been fixed. Now works as promised! Can be used without mobile app. Direct Browser to Device. Great, love it.

- The pdf download worked pretty well; the colors even seemed to load onto the device (I have the reMarkable 2 pro). I had originally thought this would directly download the pdf onto my device but you have to manually do that.

- It does no longer work on Patreon. Worse, why is this not Open Source? Remarkable obviously has no desire to maintain this extension (last update 2023), and as a pure utility giving the source for this away for people to make whatever adaptations they need will not interfere with their business. I would, for example, have liked to change the settings for fonts and sizes too. Now I have to change those settings on the Remarkable 2 device individually for every single document I upload to it using this extension.

- Completely useless installation process.

- I can only view my notes from an iphone but cannot view my notes from my cromebook. It worked awhile ago, but now doesn't. Today I need to email myself the notes in order to view them on my Chromebook.

- Always have this annoying "new reMarkable Tab" when starting browser. please add a button to the extension that allows paring, but not displaying paring page everytime the browser starts.
- Scott Alan Lucas
- That was quick and easy. now I can read my Stock Reports, Research Companies and just review projects from my reMarkable Pro!!!

- I constantly have an error "Can't print the document". Nothing sent to RPP.
- Lee Moreau
- I don't get the purpose of this extension; it saves all websites as .html and then the Remarkable app says "File format not supported, only EPUB and PDF."
- Albert “Ab” Poghosyan
- It is not supporting images! What the hell? You are charging $3 monthly, why can't you fix this?

- Exceptional Writing Experience with Room for Functional Enhancements Since using Read on reMarkable, my reading and writing habits have significantly improved. This app seamlessly combines the convenience of e-books with the paper-like writing experience of the reMarkable device, allowing me to take notes effortlessly as if writing on real paper. However, I hope future updates will further enhance the user experience (UX). For instance, the ability to paste images directly from a desktop application to the reMarkable device would greatly improve efficiency. Overall, Read on reMarkable has become an indispensable tool in my daily work and learning routines. I look forward to future updates that bring even more functionality.

- This extension is wonderful. A new feature that would help us a lot should be to download automatically images because RMPP support that! Thanks,

- I've been using reMarkable for several years (I bought one of the first reMarkable 2 devices). I absolutely love it and use it almost everyday. reMarkable just came out with a new, color version. I will buy one as soon as I can afford it (probably later this month, definitely for Christmas). I want to be able to also read my Kindle books on my tablet. So far, I haven't figured out how to do that, but I'll keep working on it. reMarkable says I can read EPUBSs on my reMarkable 2 but not Kindle formated books because they are in the DRM format (I understand, but am still hopeful). In the mean time, I have to figure out EPUBS. Shouldn't be too hard (I hope). I want to be able to write notes and comments on my eBooks. Wouldn't that be great, write margin notes without messing up the book? I love this thing.

- i don't know what algorithm the tool uses to convert the webpages, but - it can't convert locally stored pages - it ignores formatting an graphics completely it's useless, as it doesn't allow to commendt on a webpage because it doesn't save any webpage correctly. it makes the whole concept of remarkable useless.

- Worked once and now i get "failed to fetch"

- When I click on the extension it says the extensions gallery cannot be scripted. fixed it. Runs fine.

- Very simple, works great. The only thing I would ask the developer to change would be to try to include the author by-line. I'd love to be able to sort and search articles by author but the extension never seems to include them. Give those writers their credit!

- Does not work. Claims to need permissions. Massive hassle and I am not ready to start paying a yearly fee to have problems uploading files to the device.

- Work perfectly on Chrome but should be great if it was working on Edge too... (Saving as PDF just close Edge and doesn't save anything)

- I love the extension when it works. It recently stopped working (errored when uploading), so I had to un-install and re-install. That seems to be the workaround. Certainly makes it easier to bookmark articles!

- Fantastic. This has pretty much changed my life. I wish I could change the format a little bit, so I had more room to write. But seriously. I don't know how to read an article on a stupid computer screen anymore :D
