What's new in version 2.9.2:
[Added] Integration with the new Assistant
For a while now we develop AdGuard Assistant more or less independently, to later use it wherever we need — Windows and Mac apps use regular Assistant, Android and iOS apps use mobile version. Browser extension users encounter Assistant when they click "Block ads on this website" button. We will not go into the details here, those who interested can find the exhaustive changelog inside the Assistant repo.
[Improved] InsertCSS to use instead of the content scripts
There was a certain change in Chrome browser recently, that prompted us to respond by reconsidering the way we inject scripts and styles. The good thing is, thanks to this change we now have less bugs, more possibilities and were even able to make the extension more lightweight by reducing the amount of code.
[Improved] ExtendedCss has been updated to v1.10
This change is on the technical side, but from the end user perspective it converts into better performance and better quality ad blocking, thanks to more tools being available to the extension now.

The process to submit problems with websites is far too cumbersome with all those 'steps' and having to save images, blur this and that, copy and paste, etc. I gave up and just disable the extension.

- (2025-09-02) I'm using it for 2-3 months now & im surprised that is actually so good compared to the "red" ones we got used with. The only issues i have with is that on some websites you can't play the videos & some images are broken, at first i thought that my browser is the issue until i disabled ADGUARD & could see everything fine and worked as intended. Needs improvements, because if turn it off from the on/off option doesn't do actually anything you have to turn it off from the extensions page.

- (2025-08-22) Adguard was one of the first to jump on the MV3 bandwagon with reduced filters and initially removed filters for Microsoft and Yahoo websites. Eventually, they re-inserted the filters back, presumably after protest. Anyway, I moved to another adblocker after the new low with Adguard. I don't have many filters but when I went to add one, I received an error message saying "rule limits exceeded". Before this, it really lags and I have a fast system. As per Manifest V3, your Chrome browser reacted by disabling all the extension's built-in filters except the default ones. Adguard used to be very good, albeit bloated, but now it's awful and restrictive. Any positive reviews moving forward are unbelievable. Basically. Adguard is reducing protection and more. Extension uninstalled.

It's just reliable enough to be able to receive no ads, but I constantly have to wait 10-15 seconds before I can watch anything and a pop up says something along the lines of "experiencing issues. want to find out why?" I'll continue using this for now, since I can't find anything else that works for my device.
