GimmeGimmeGimme is a media downloader. It currently specializes in finding all images on a page (a page scrape), finding all full-sized images for a thumbnail gallery page (a gallery dig), and finding all full-sized images in multiple galleries that are linked in a gallery page with their own thumbnails (a gallery gallery dig). The logic of the extension knows how to look through many parts of the web page document, in a quest to find the right full-sized image every time. It leverages heuristics, web page fundamentals, and even some TensorFlow AI with mobilenet image matching.
The UI is always very minimal, but there is now a Stop button to stop long-running scrapes and digs that you want to abandon (and reclaim your network from a flurry of XHRs). Also included in v0.4.10 are many code structure updates for stability, and bug fixes all around (such as how Options/Preferences was broken for complex sub-form config elements such as Processings, and for the scalar configuration values such as Digger Channels).
The Options/Preferences page allows for customization of how to process finding the media on specific websites (you just provide the css selectors and what object properties map to the full-sized-image URLs), as well as some performance tuning, and a new feature to turn on all the experimental types of scrapes and digs (such as for audio or video).
v0.4.10 is more stable and powerful than its predecessors. You'll like this update.
