• (2023-06-08) Andrew: Not only is the app very useful, the company behind it is very responsive and eager to help. They are adding functionality to speed reading soon. There are some minor issues with the text rules (predictably), but I'm giving it a 5 because it is such a useful accessibility addon.
• (2022-07-18) Wu,: From context menu, neither "View in immersive reader" nor "View in Reader mode" work. From bar button, "View in immersive reader" does not work
• (2022-04-06) John: Needs work... Reading their own help page with font replacement breaks the word spacing. I wish the dyslexic ruler responded to mouse clicks or keystrokes to control it without returning to the menu to tweak numbers in little boxes. Let us know if you have a beta program because I'm sure you'd got lots of constructive feedback!

It constantly tries to sell you their premium, they whole UX is build around that, not even its functionality... I am very confused about all these good reviews, my experience is the complete opposite... Very disappointed

• (2021-06-06) Addison: I have ADHD and yesterday Helperbird and the text-to-speech function (available in free version) turned a 28-page reading assignment from a two-day task to roughly two hours, maybe three at the absolute most. It helped tremendously! And I loved that the text-to-speech has such a fluid voice compared to a lot of others I've used! Honestly, the fact that this was created by someone who knows the struggles is something I love, because then it has neurodivergency in mind. I've tried too many things in the past that were created by neurotypical folk trying to be helpful to us and I do appreciate it, but it doesn't work as well because our brains work different. Highly recommend!
