Comment ça fonctionne
Elle crée un index local de toutes vos discussions et messages. Elle ajoute également un bouton dans la barre latérale et un raccourci clavier pour ouvrir la recherche (⌨️ Ctrl-Shift-P). Lorsque vous tapez dans la boîte de recherche, elle utilise l'index local pour trouver les messages qui correspondent à votre requête.
Pourquoi en ai-je besoin
Actuellement, ChatGPT n'offre aucune manière de retrouver d'anciennes discussions autrement qu'en faisant défiler toutes les conversations. Si vous avez de nombreux chats dans l'interface web de ChatGPT et que vous avez régulièrement besoin de retrouver quelque chose que vous avez déjà discuté, cette extension est faite pour vous.
Est-ce qu'elle recherche dans le contenu des chats ?
Oui, elle crée un index des noms des chats et des messages. Vous pouvez rechercher n'importe quel mot ou phrase qui a été mentionné dans l'un de vos chats. Après avoir installé l'extension pour la première fois, veuillez lui donner un peu de temps pour récupérer l'index. Les noms des chats sont récupérés immédiatement, mais les messages peuvent prendre quelques minutes à être récupérés.

🆓 La version gratuite recherche dans tous vos chats et messages. La seule limitation de la version gratuite est qu'elle affiche 3 résultats de recherche par recherche.

Whenever I open ChatGPT, the extension blocks the page for a couple of seconds until the number of new conversations has been identified. 2. Not all threads/alternatives from a conversation are honored (when you edit a message) but only some! I could not find a very long and important conversation using this extension because all the search terms I had in mind were from another thread. I had to skim all dozens of conversations from the last few days manually to find it. Considering to buy this extension if these issues could be resolved. Nice design. EDIT: Unfortunately no longer works. Clicking the search button does not show any result, Ctrl + Shift + P opens the pop-up, but search never starts. No errors in Chrome Dev Console.

- (2024-09-18) Neil Wager: UPDATE: Had some hiccups with a change Chatgpt did, but a fix was found. If your chat search window does not pop up, look at what other extensions you have, I found 3 I was using that suddenlt made this one not work. Usually they are ones that change the way chatgpt appears, such as other search ones, or one of the extensions that add folders for you. Thanks for the Quick responce Tik Hon.

However, sometimes it takes a while to load data in the background, which can cause key operations, mouse actions, and scrolling to become unresponsive, although they usually recover after a short period. Occasionally, I want to delete a conversation after opening it from the search results, but the shortcut key Ctrl+Shift+BS doesn’t work as expected. This might be because the focus is not on the conversation in the sidebar list. As a result, it’s not possible to delete or archive a conversation that was opened from the search results. If there’s a good solution for this, it would be appreciated. Regardless, this extension is valuable. I plan to use it on several PCs for a while, and if no issues arise, I intend to purchase a lifetime license.

- (2024-07-01) Joel Carignan: This is absolutely essential! Imagine trying to find a particular conversation thread from 6 months ago, or even a particular conversation thread from only 2 weeks ago.. Forget it!!! It was as good as gone. Now with this plugin, I can search and find anything instantly. The only chrome extension I've ever paid for and I am so glad that I did. With the amount of time saved, either sifting through conversations or just starting over, the plugin has already paid for itself. And FYI this works so much better than the search in the official ChatGPT app, as this one actually searches the CONTENTS of the conversation, whereas the official ChatGPT app can only search the "names" of conversations. WOW!! GREAT JOB!!!

OK, so when I first got this it worked for a few days, then all I could get was the free three results. I sent a message and Tik Hon responed immediately. Fantastic support and it works great. One thing to keep in mind is that when OpenAI changes something, the app may stop working. You may have to uninstall and then reinstall the latest versioin from the Chrome store and reactivate. I would add that logging out and back in to open.ai as well as uninstalling and re-installing the extension from the Chrome store were important steps to get everything working again. --------------- This was great while it worked. With the latest update from open.ai the calls do not seem to be working any longer. I deleted the extension and reloaded but it still isn't working.

I had lost a file that wasn't tracked in Git, and by some miracle had remembered I asked ChatGPT to format the file for me, over 6 months ago... but after realising I had over 600 chats, knew it would be a nightmare. After 5 minutes with this plugin, I managed to find the chat, and my crisis has now been averted. The plugin does try to push a subscription on you to view more than 3 results. For the dev of this plugin: this can be bypassed by looking at the blurred out content, and then doing a new search with a more in-depth text search which can already be viewed under the blur.
