  • (2024-05-01) Andy Anthony: Priceless, literally and figuratively. Here's the thing: is this magic? Probably. Back in the day when I was a social media manager and a product marketing manager following that, I wasted hours, days, weeks (all on company time of course lol jk) watching full videos of stuff for content creation and editing purposes but what really happened on most days was that I'd get sucked into recommened video rabbit holes and the next thing I knew hours had passed because I couldn't get my makeup to look they did it in the tutorial. Value Prop: Time saver 5 out of 5 stars And ya'll it's FREE. Like, free-free. No hidden costs, no sacrifice of your 15 yr old dog with back and bladder issues that cost a fortune but anythink for your little stinker butt. Value Prop: affordability 5 out of 5 stars. Technology that understands a video faster than I can process the clickbait title in my recommended videos and the extension settings require less technical know-how than keyword shortcuts which I genuinely still struggle with. NLP, speak recognition, and UX 5 out of 5 stars. In conclusion, Glasp is a gift from the genAI gods. It's free, it's fast, and only side effect is a decrease in YouTube procrastination and time spent 'researching'. Overall 5 out of 5 stars.

  • (2024-02-12) Jae Choi: Truly amazing. The best part is that it does not try to reinvent wheels and focus on its core functionalities. It tries to integrates to mainstream apps as much as possible and that's a big plus. For me, Youtube transcript highlighting and copy was a key selling point. I can copy the highlighted content to Notion so easily and I love it. I'm very excited with its AI features and it's really great that it's working with Claude because they are for non-profit (for now).

  • (2024-01-03) Rajendra Narayan Kundu: The idea and the extension is good but it has too many glitches and issues. Sometimes some or all the highlights with their notes are gone and those are gone forever. I can't get those back. So, I need to put all the hard work and effort again. So, I am feeling worried to use this extension anymore. The sidebar with notes appear over the websites. So, most of the cases a huge part of the text is hidden. That is why someone needs to close and reopen the sidebar for several times and this is really irritating. The sidebar should push the website and should not appear over the website. When I hover over a highlighted text, why I can't see the notes associated with it? This is a very useful feature to have. The mobile app has no search option for websites. So, if someone has used this tool in too many websites then it is almost impossible to find a specific website in the mobile app. So, please fix these issues. I think this app has a better future.

  • (2023-11-09) Justin St James: I'm a copywriter that writes and repurposes content for youtubers. This makes my workload light and efficient. Before Glasp I was paying for Ai transcriptions services. I've been using Glasp for just over 6 months. And, I love it. It makes my work EASY. With the addition of 3 prompts. I can write repurposed drafts in with the push of a button.
  • (2023-11-08) Luis Aleman: Genial
  • (2023-11-07) Téo: The tool looks great and I was ready to pay for it -- only issue is that everything you highlight (including your own personal notes) are published for the entire world to see. I am an attorney and can't risk having my research be out in the open like that. I'm having to switch to the competition now. That's a shame.

  • (2023-11-03) Robert De La Fontaine: For project work, there is none better that I have found. Simple, out of the way, and saves what you need for later. Keeping highlights, for when you return to the page, is brilliant, It would be good if there was a way to get a list of sites you have 'highlighted and saved parts of', like an index. It may have one and I may not have found it yet. Overall, even without an index, this is absolutely brilliant. For complex projects that require heaps of research, this is invaluable.

  • (2023-09-19) Raihan Sifat: Excellient Chorme Extention. is there any privacy option on it ? i want to hide my article highlights , and won't visible publickly . Edit , 19 sep : Maybe there are some bugs, Because of sometimes color plate not working properly in the line of a passage or automatically removed after marking a line.
  • (2023-09-19) sagar arora: can you add shortcut for highlighting
  • (2023-09-18) Jose RG: Working fine for exporting my Kindle notes!!
  • (2023-09-17) Denis Cokovic: I recently installed the extension and wanted to share some issues I encountered during my first use. I believe and hope that addressing these concerns won't pose a significant challenge for your team: 1) When I highlight HTML and JavaScript snippets, they are not visible in the extension's sidebar on the source page. 2) They are visible in the 'My Highlights' section on my Glasp profile, but they appear in the order in which I made them, rather than in the order of their placement on the source webpage. While I understand that this arrangement may suit some users, having a toggle option to sort them based on their position on the source webpage would be greatly appreciated. 3) When Markdown is copied or downloaded, all of the HTML and code appear without any inline or next-line gaps. It would be highly beneficial if the original formatting could be preserved in the copied or downloaded content. This happens when I download my highlights in other formats too. I would like to confirm if I might be overlooking any existing features or settings that could address these issues. Your guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you for your attention to these matters, and I look forward to any insights or solutions you can provide.
  • (2023-09-16) Mithilesh TEELOCK: Glasp is a powerful tool for highlighting and organizing information from the web and PDFs, as well as generating summaries of YouTube videos. It is available as a Chrome extension and a web app, and it offers a variety of features that make it ideal for students, researchers, writers, and anyone else who needs to keep track of large amounts of information. One of the most useful features of Glasp is its ability to highlight text from web pages and PDFs. This can be done quickly and easily with the Chrome extension, and it is possible to highlight text in multiple colors and add notes to each highlight. Highlights can also be tagged and organized into different folders, making it easy to find the information you need later. Another great feature of Glasp is its ability to generate summaries of YouTube videos. This feature is still under development, but it is already very useful for getting the main points of a video without having to watch the entire thing. To generate a summary, simply enter the URL of the video into Glasp and it will generate a summary in a few seconds. In addition to its highlighting and summary features, Glasp also offers a number of other features that make it a great tool for knowledge management. For example, Glasp allows you to share your highlights and notes with others, and it also integrates with a variety of other note-taking apps, such as Notion, Obsidian, and Evernote. Overall, Glasp is a very powerful and versatile tool for highlighting and organizing information. It is easy to use and offers a variety of features that make it ideal for a variety of users. Here are some of the pros and cons of Glasp: Pros: Easy to use Versatile Powerful highlighting and note-taking features Ability to generate summaries of YouTube videos Integrates with a variety of other note-taking apps Overall, I highly recommend Glasp to anyone who needs a powerful tool for highlighting and organizing information. It is a great tool for students, researchers, writers, and anyone else who needs to keep track of large amounts of information.

  • (2023-09-12) A The Ancient Aura: ok so I have to start off by saying I love this extension the interface in clean, clear easy to understand, and functions well. I only have 2 suggestions that I would love to see implemented to which I could and would happily rate this extension 5 stars. 1. I would love if the highlight colors wernt limited to 4. it would be preferable to allow at least 10 (more would be ideal like 25 +) and I would like to be able to choose my own prefrence on what those colors might be via an rbg color map often found when deciding on color in say a web design space. 2) I would love to be able to clear the AI Analysis. because it would seem that once you've already asked for it, you cannot clear it in any manner that I have found. Even in despite of me changing the prompt used in the settings and if we were to go a bit further, I would say in a perfect world, one could write the prompt they would like at any point in the glasp tool bar with an option to save the chosen promt on a drop down menu underneath that button.
