What it does
• Copy formatting from selected text in a Gmail draft.
• Paste formatting onto any other selected text in the same draft.
• Works in Gmail on Chrome (desktop, web).
• Use right-click menu or keyboard shortcuts (recommended for speed).
• Keeps your content intact—only styles change.
Supported styles
• Font family & size
• Text color & background highlight
• Bold / italic / underline / strikethrough
• Most span-level styles applied in the Gmail editor
Current limitations
• Bullet/number list markers (• / 1.) aren’t copied yet.
• Gmail must be in rich-text mode (not “Plain text”).
• Only for Gmail on desktop Chrome (not mobile apps).

Quick start (30 seconds)
1. Click Add to Chrome.
2. Open Gmail (or refresh Gmail if it was already open).
3. Select text with the formatting you want → Right-click → Format Copier → Copy.
4. Select the target text → Right-click → Format Copier → Paste. Done.
Optional: set fast keyboard shortcuts
1. Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts
2. Find Format Copier and set:
○ Copy → e.g., Alt+C
○ Paste → e.g., Alt+V
3. Use them directly in Gmail while editing a message.

Account & activation (how it links)
• Your subscription is matched to your browser profile’s email (what Chrome is signed in with).

Tip: If the popup shows a yellow notice about email, just enter your email once to link your account.

Troubleshooting (common fixes)
• Right-click menu not showing? Refresh Gmail. Make sure you’re on mail.google.com and editing a message (rich-text mode).
• Nothing happens on Copy/Paste? Select text first. The tool only changes styles of selected text.
• “Not subscribed” message but you are subscribed? Make sure Chrome is signed into the correct account, or enter your email in the popup to link it.
• Conflicts: If another extension also modifies Gmail’s editor, temporarily disable it to test.
You can also send a quick report via the popup’s “Send feedback” form—include a sentence about what you tried.
