Circle The Cat is an interesting and captivating puzzle game where the goal is to surround the cat, preventing it from escaping the screen. At first glance, the game may seem simple, but it requires strategy, attention, and patience.
Here’s how it works: on your screen, you’ll see a game board made up of hexagonal tiles. The cat is placed on one of the tiles in the center, and your task is to mark some of these tiles to block the cat’s path to the edge of the board.
In Circle The Cat, you and the cat take turns making moves. During your turn, you can mark one tile, making it unreachable for the cat. The cat, in turn, chooses a direction to move toward an adjacent accessible tile. Each time you mark a tile, your chances of surrounding the cat increase, but at the same time, the cat gets closer to the edge of the board, making the situation more tense.
The goal of the game is to prevent the cat from escaping. If you can successfully surround it, blocking all possible exits, you win. However, if the cat reaches the edge of the hexagonal grid and escapes, you lose. Every move the cat makes, and every tile you choose to block, needs to be carefully considered, as even one wrong move can give the cat the opportunity to break free.

1. Don’t try to surround the cat from the beginning. It might seem like a good idea to immediately start blocking tiles around the cat, but it’s important to think ahead and plan your approach. Start by blocking tiles in the areas where the cat is most likely to try to escape.
2. Use the edge of the board to your advantage. If the cat is getting close to the edge, don’t panic! In fact, this can work in your favor. The edges of the board are natural barriers for the cat, as it cannot escape beyond the grid. This helps you focus your efforts on blocking fewer tiles.
3. Remember the six directions the cat can move. Due to the hexagonal grid, the cat has more options for movement. Keep this in mind and try to block not only the tiles in front of the cat but also the ones to the sides.
4. Don’t give up. Even if it seems like the cat is about to escape, keep blocking tiles. Sometimes, one well-placed move can change the entire game and give you a chance to win.
