Paste a list of student IDs and automate MealTime POS search + optional auto-pay.
POS Automator speeds up your cafeteria workflow by automating the repetitive steps of searching for a student and selecting them in the POS. Paste a list of IDs, press Start, and let it click through each result—optionally triggering Pay From Account for queued transactions. Designed for MealTime POS.
What it does:
- Paste IDs (one per line or comma-separated) and run them in sequence
- Clicks the matching search result for each ID (no manual picking)
- Handles common modals (e.g., “Confirm Seconds”, “Transaction Cancelled”)
- Optional Auto-Pay: taps “Pay From Account” on a timer and pauses if a popup appears
- Controls: Start, Pause, Resume, Stop; adjustable delay; clear-after-select toggle
How to use:
1. Open your POS site and sign in
2. Click the extension icon
3. Paste IDs → set delay if needed → Start
4. (Optional) Use Start Auto-Pay to process queued transactions
Permissions explained:
- activeTab – Runs only when you click the extension on the current tab you’re working in
- scripting – Injects the packaged content script to automate clicks and read form elements
- host permissions – Needed to interact with the POS page’s fields and buttons
- storage – Saves your local preferences (delay, clear-after, last IDs if you choose)
- tabs – Finds the current tab to send Start/Pause/Stop commands
Privacy:
- No data collection or analytics
- No remote code (all logic is packaged with the extension)
- Data stays in your browser; settings are stored locally via Chrome storage
Notes: For authorized staff use only. Follow your organization’s policies when processing student transactions. If your POS skin uses different element IDs, contact support and we’ll share a selector profile.
