Description from store

AI Writing Clue Checker is a lightweight extension that scans any webpage for common signs of AI-generated text. It highlights patterns often seen in machine-written content, including:

- Em dashes (—) – often overused to mimic a literary tone.

- AI-ish phrases – common filler phrases that show up frequently in generated writing.

- AI-ish words – commonly overused “buzzwords” seen in machine-written content.

- Full-stop fragmentation – unusually short segments split by full stops (plus stats and runs of short fragments).

- Double spaces after periods – can indicate automated formatting.

- Mixed quote styles – a mix of straight and curly quotes (or single and double) that can come from generated or reformatted text.

- Negation lead-ins – blocks where the first sentence focuses on what something isn’t before explaining what it is.

- Suspicious semicolon usage – semicolons used like commas or in odd joins.

After clicking the extension, press “Scan This Page” to analyse the text you’re currently viewing. You’ll see the results (snippets for most checks, and a clean list for the AI-ish phrases/words) so you can quickly review anything that looks off.
