Andy Heath 2023-11-16: The so-called app just opens a web browser page that then fails with a Playback Error message. If you are on a Chrome OS Flex PC rather than a Chromebook you can get around this by downloading alternative linux browsers. Both Firefox and Microsoft Edge work fine with the Amazon Music web player but only SD content is supported.
Tony Bruzaitis 2023-03-17: I previously used this app and it worked fine but recently it disappeared from my Chromebook and when I downloaded it again, now all it does it open the amazon music website. Bring back the app!

M Tomko 2020-02-02: This "app" is literally just a bookmark that will open the amazon music webpage on your browser. Every time I try to play music on my chromebook, I get an error message saying "Operating System Not Supported", so both this app and amazon music are completely useless. You're better off trying spotify or youtube for music.

Paul Andrew Anderson 2019-11-03: This is not an App or Extension; it's a URL (https://music.amazon.com/stations): It merely opens a browser tab and takes you to that page. If Amazon Music will not play on your Linux with Chromium browser, this will not fix that restriction.
David Herman 2019-10-16: Would be nice if Amazon made it clear in their promotional material (for Amazon Music HD Unlimited) that you cannot listen in high definition when using the web player, only through their windows, mac, android and ios apps. This "App" is merely a link to the web application (a fancily named bookmark), not a player. Gave the app as many stars as the audio quality it allows me to listen at. Thought the app would allow me to listen to high quality, Amazon Music HD Unlimited, streams, nope. (standard quality streams only for you mister linux) You have to be using windows or macos, or a phone with HD output to listen to high definition streams on Amazon Music. (using the app that they provide only for those devices). Linux/bsd users need not apply. Glad Amazon Unlimited Music has a trial period, I will keep the service if this is fixed before my trial expires, otherwise audios (adios) Guess my money will be going back to tidal, qobuz or spotify (or Pandora since I stream quality is out of the picture)

Richard Bucker 2019-08-02: Hate is a strong word but it's hard to get anyone's attention. In ChromeOS as soon as you move the mouse in the tab the CPU usage jumps from 8% to nearly 35%, At that point the mouse and keyboard start to stutter. (mouse, keyboard and headset are wireless).

Guess I will try uninstalling, then reinstalling. Tried that. It has now 'lost' half of my playlists and most of my purchased music from iTunes that I had uploaded to it. Gee, thanks Amazon. You're swell. :-(

Ray Tomany 2017-08-08: After failing repeatedly to register I figure Amazon doesn't like Irish credit cards, UK or US or some other approved location only. No mention of this when you try repeatedly to use it, just that there was a problem with the card. Amazon employ over 2,500 people here but presumably all have to pretend to be British to use this. Same thing with Alexa. It's about time they sorted this out.

Anonymous 2017-06-06: Choppy and static audio playback from the Windows Chrome Browser when casting to Chromecast Audio. When and if Google supports the Amazon Music Android App for Chromecast Audio, Prime would be an all around great value.

Stan's Auto 2017-04-05: GOOD ADD ON TO CHROME. I love that I can listen to all my music at work and have access to all the stations. Seems very stable and have had no problems running the app on my desktop computer. All in all a good deal.
