This extension will automatically detach tabs upon creation.

You can optionally open new windows in popup mode (hiding all toolbars).

You can also toggle popup mode (i.e. show/hide all toolbars) with Ctrl+Shift+L.

Made with tilling window managers in mind, where tabs can be managed on a window manager level. Chrome tabbing just gets in the way.

Nice side-effect: system-wide searchable tabs (with something like rofi)
