Do you hate Youtube Shorts? Do you wish they wouldn't clutter up your subscriptions page? Do you wish there was an easy way of hiding them?
Introducing, the Shorts Blocker; a very simple Google Chrome extension that hides Youtube Shorts from everywhere; the home page, subscriptions page, and even the search results.
The entire project is open source, with no data collection, no ads, and no tracking.

- the extension works perfectly, the only thing that i would add are options when you click in the extension icon so that maybe it doesn't block the shorts when you search or it shows the button at the sidebar, but generally it is a great extension, especially now when youtube decided that we can't even take off the shorts out of the main page for 30 days, only "show fewer shorts", which doesn't actually work

- It doesnt seem to block the button for shorts on the sidebar which it used to do. At least it's still blocking the actual shorts from showing up in feed, but i'm concerned that if the shorts button is no longer being blocked, eventually the actual shorts might start leaking through..

- I would have rated 5 star but the only problem is that the button on the side that says "shorts" is still there. im not saying there anything wrong with this shorts blocker but it would be awsome to have shorts FULLY gone. ty and love the extension!

- Does the job. Thanks Umut! A small suggestion, it seems like sometimes the shorts link in the menu bar flashes on screen for a moment when page is loading then disappears once page has fully loaded. Is there any easy way to stop it appearing at all?

- Umut is extremely helpful and responsive. He has reacted to each change made by YouTube, ensuring the extension does the most it can do. The most recent change by YouTube, wherein they have now grouped all the shorts into a panel is re-enabling this extension to hide the shorts more effectively once again.

- All it does it's makes the videos hard to see, doesn't remove them, kind of pointless as they are still visible anyway. Need something that will actually hide youtube shorts
