Description from store Requirements: Chrome 105 and above Do you hate Youtube Shorts? Do you wish they wouldn't clutter up your subscriptions page? Do you wish there was an easy way of hiding them? Introducing, the Shorts Blocker; a very simple Google Chrome extension that hides Youtube Shorts from everywhere; the home page, subscriptions page, and even the search results. The entire project is open source, with no data collection, no ads, and no tracking.

(2025-03-28) artur kieling: the extension works perfectly, the only thing that i would add are options when you click in the extension icon so that maybe it doesn't block the shorts when you search or it shows the button at the sidebar, but generally it is a great extension, especially now when youtube decided that we can't even take off the shorts out of the main page for 30 days, only "show fewer shorts", which doesn't actually work

At least it's still blocking the actual shorts from showing up in feed, but i'm concerned that if the shorts button is no longer being blocked, eventually the actual shorts might start leaking through..

The most recent change by YouTube, wherein they have now grouped all the shorts into a panel is re-enabling this extension to hide the shorts more effectively once again.
