very helpful tool to see price history

Motorwatch enabled me to see the price history of cars that had been listed and showed me if they had already had any price reductions in recent weeks or months. It was a great way to help me to understand the true value of a certain model of car and its added options. For higher end vehicles it is extremely useful tool because a seller may firstly list the car with high expectations and then, if it doesn't sell, begin to reduce the price in steps. You can see this history and judge whether there may be further reductions and if you are getting a good deal. I tracked 80 cars and this was a very helpful thing to have.

Excellent - quick, reliable, simple UI and does what it says without fuss. I hope the greedy motor trade business doesn't manage to shut it down, like they did with others.

Most useful tool when trying to find your car. I was tracking a particular model of a car for a few weeks and this tracking tool allowed me to better negotiate with the dealer that had been moving the price both down and up over a 3 week period.

Magic. Essential for serious car shopping!

The browser plug in is great. Wouldn't use autrader without it.

Must have app for buying a used car. Price tracker must be hated by the Autotrader / Motor trade. Big Thanks Barrie Crampton (Youtube) for the heads up.

Mostly using it for MOT history, but I wish that the extension would remember license plates (for MOT history) so I don't have to retype it each time I go back to the car I already visited. Edit: updated the review as previously mentioned bugs are now fixed.

Very useful free source of price history - a lot of traders are real chancers, and this app lets you see and avoid that kind of dealer.

I was aware of the tracker for a while so decided to download it as I am laid up atm. First half hour with it and its amazing. Seeing the price changes over time, both up and down, is very interesting. It would (hopefully) give you more confidence to make an offer on a car rather than pay the screen price. Great add-on and more people should know about it.

As an occasional car buyer this is a super useful tool, allows me to see how long the car has been for sale and the price drop (or rise:-)) history, will encourage me to use the site is supports!

Great extension, totally recommend it if you use Autotrader

Genius add on - makes buying a car a much more level playing field as you can clearly see the drops in price putting you in a much better position when spending your hard earned money.

Possibly now on the radar of the Porsche dealers who are putting in random prices changes to throw off its calculations - numerous OPC cars have price increases thrown in up to 300/400k on run of the mill cars which throws off the overall reduction calcs? If that's the case, it's a form of flattery!

Fantastic add on so far, out of all the add ons so far (aside from ad blockers), this has got to be the next best invention! I did notice it didn't track every single price change, not sure if there's a delay or that's just tech limitations

Great product for tracking price movements by dealers. Great when the dealer tells you that they have a lot of interest in the car, but you can see it has been with them for over a month

FIrst timeI have used and find it is excellent regarding able to check MOT history and milage record.

Useful, but on Autotrader it's saying £<1k prices randomly. Presumably that's when another plugin user has finance toggled on, it's tracking the monthly price and logging that.

Super helpful in seeing price changes over time. If you use the saved searches feature in autotrader you will know it sometimes loads with a stale price and needs to be refreshed to correctly show, Motorwatch will highlight this if a price has changed.

Very handy , picked this up on YouTube review as the autotrader one has now been disabled. Small point another viewer has pointed out is that you have to click on the individual ad to see history but as its free really can't complain.

Really useful

Clear precise and very helpful when weighing up your options. As well as giving a guide on price changes it also shows how the market is moving. I am at present looking to buy a Ferrari. Price tracker is a great help when the price changes, can be at present,be quite dramatic.

An excellent add-on to Auto-trader.

Great tool for tracking price drops and length of time a car has been in stock, it actually helped me save over £7k on a car. Absolutely brilliant if you use it correctly. Highley recommended to anyone buying a car. It really is an eye opener seeing how much some (electric in particular) have been reduced

Brilliant extension if you're looking to buy a car. Probably not so great if you're selling one though 😂 Works really well if you want to keep track of a car or just see how long it's been on their lot.

SUPERB...................

Superb extension and 100% must-have for anyone browsing these car sites. My only nitpick is that when I am browsing a list of results I like to open each car in a new tab to make it easier to go back to my search, and for some reason the extension seems to have trouble opening itself in a new tab. Also it doesn't seem to display the info on my saved cars (in AT) and I have to click into each one individually. Otherwise its fantastic and I highly recommend anyone to use it.

Very good, swapped to this tool after the banning of AT Price Tracker by Autotrader. The only thing I wish it would show is the total % drop within the total price change rather than just the total £ drop... A small thing but would be nice to see.
