Improves the viewing experience of YouTube livestreams with an enhanced theater mode.

Theater mode features:
- display chat next to the video
- move chat to the left side
- show chat on top of the video
- hide or popout chat
- display livestream information (title, view count, description, ...) without leaving theater mode
Theater mode options:
- force dark theme in theater mode
- show YouTube header while in livestreams theater mode
- chat width (next to video)
- chat width (over video)
- chat over video margin top & bottom
- display livestream information on hover over the video / info-icon
- overlay and chat over video background opacity
- show overlay text shadows
- default chat side and mode
- automatically enter livestreams theater mode (live & replay)
- shortcut to toggle livestreams theater mode
Chat customization options:
- default chat (top chat / live chat)
- colored usernames
- hide profile pictures
- hide live reactions
- super chat currency converter: adds the converted currency under / next to the original currency, shows the name of the original currency on hover.
Other features:
- display obvious hint when the video is behind on a livestream
Permissions:
- storage permission is needed to save settings
- optional host permission for 'napalighost.com' is needed when super chat currency converter is turned on

- Technically, it still works. If people haven't noticed yet, the dev mentioned to use your keybind to force it. I'm only dinging by one star for the UI not being available for those who aren't technically inclined.

- Godly extension that should've just been how the default Youtube theater mode works. Clean design and full of useful features. Breaks sometimes from chrome updates, but developer is always quick to fix it.

- it would be perfect if there is vertical version of this. would like to have such theater mode in vertical with bottom chat, i use split screen alot, so if it works it would be perfect

- Best extension for watching live streams and VODs on youtube. I'm using widescreen(2560x1080,21:9) and I can watch streams on 1920x1080 with chat by using theater mode with this extension and turn it in to full screen with F11. Also using this for hide profile pictures, colored usernames, and it works with BTTV and 7TV. Previously used truffle but they changed everything to work only in their 'truffle chat', but this extension does everything better so I deleted truffle.

- The extension works properly, but is there any chance y'all could make an option to put it back under the video and not on the side, or if there's an extension that might do that? I really don't like having the chat on the side at all.

- It is fantastic when it loads; I have recently had an issue where the extension only appears occassionally in the page when opening a video with a chat, so often times I cannot use the extension, unless I repeatedly refresh until it works Edit Feb 6, 2024: The extension is loading consistently now, and works well. Thank you, developers.

- i spent 20 minutes trying to find this during my fav livestream after moving pc's because everything else i tried doesn't do fullscreen a fraction as well. it's simply the best.

- I've been using this extension and loved it, but few days ago something changed and my youtube chat moved into the center, leaving a black blank screen on the right, i've tried disable all other extensions, cleared cache/cookies and still can't find a way to fix this. The only way to fix is to click "Toggle chat over video" or "Toggle chat" buttons of this extension everytime i open youtube video. Also clicking "Toggle chat" makes "Toggle chat over video" and "Toggle chat side" buttons disappeared, but it fixes the layout position. Sorry to ask for help here, but I'd really appreciate any helps.

- I think this extension is great. But I don't like how the stream/video's description is over the footage. There should be an option for me to remove it.
