This extension makes it easy to create short, official w.wiki links for any Wikimedia project page, including Wikipedia, Wikidata, Wiktionary, and more.
Instead of copying long, hard-to-share URLs, just click the extension button or use the right-click context menu. The extension will contact the official Wikimedia URL Shortener service on Meta-Wiki, generate a valid w.wiki link, and copy it directly to your clipboard. You’ll also see a simple notification confirming that the short link has been created.
