Security products by F-Secure require this browser extension to be able to protect your web browsing, online banking and shopping, and to show you security information while you are browsing the internet.
Browsing Protection is an extension that provides HTTPS protocol support for the installed security products by F-Secure. The extension enables the Banking Protection functionality as well as rating icons and the SafeSearch mode for search engines when HTTPS is used. In addition, unwanted web content delivered using HTTPS can be handled with a block page.
To install the extension, select Get > Add extension. If the extension is already installed but disabled, select Turn on to enable it.

- In Windows11S you cannot install Apps that are not available through the Microsoft Store. Since Spectrum Security Suite is not available you cannot install this app in Windows 11S. There is a way to switch your computer to Widows11 and then you can install Apps from Google and from Spectrum.

- I do not believe that this is a free service anymore. This app is no longer working on my Windows 11 machine. I uninstall it and reinstall it but it still doesn't work. From what I have seen, it looks like they are charging $4.99 for this protection now. Not cool.

- jeg får hele tiden (dagligt) mange beskeder om, at udvidelsen ikke er aktiv og skal stås til, også selvom den er aktiv. Træls. Blokerer ofte kommunikation til Bank/Mit Id. Jeg må derfor ofte slå VPN fra. Kan det ikke gøres bedre? VPN blokerer helt unødigt!

- program er install på min pc har prøvet 3 gang og slet og install den igen men nej max 1 dag så er det sgu galt igen slet snart f-secure og den bliver sgu ved med at kommer frem er godt træt af det slet sgu f-secure på mine pc jeg er sgu usikker på hvor godt den beskytter nu har lavet en fil til jer i håber i kun fix det men nej så det bliver nok den vej det kommer til at gå det er firefox og microsoft Edge med browserbeskyttelse hver gang flere gang om dag

- Hopplöst att hela tiden bli påmind om att installera ett tillägg som Microsoft själva säger redan är installerat. Om en sådan bugg får ligga kvar för evigt undrar man ju vilka andra buggar, som kanske är ännu mer skadliga, som programmet döljer. SKÄRP ER Microsoft. Fixa felet!

- I love that this extension works with Spectrum Security Suite and that it protects me with encryption when logging into financial sites, etc. Sometimes I forget that I have my browser open with other sites, and it protects me by stopping me from logging into my bank when other sites are open. I give it a good review!

- I cannot give F-Secure any better rating than a three star and that is being kind. Since I started using it, I've three malware attacks that I was able to solved alone. You see, there is absolutely NO customer service / help. The only thing good about it is: (1) it's free (2) better than nothing at all.

- Doesn't Block Ads Very well. I tested this on a website called can you block it. Fail! Ublock origin blocked everything while this blocked zilch.

- Die VPN-Verschlüsselung macht das surfen im Internet zu eine Geduldsprobe wie zu Win95-Zeiten. Die meisten Seiten öffnen erst nach der 2. Anforderung. Entweder stellt man VPN so ein, dass die Browser direkt, so wie vorher auch, ins Netz können oder man schaltet es AB. In der heutigen Zeit der Digitalisierung ein no go.

- While this may prevent some virus attacks, it is over kill and also prevents you from getting to some sites that you may need or want. When a site is blocked, they should give you the option of continuing at your own risk. !!!! This would be my last choice for virus protection.

- There is a serious problem with F-Secure. It blocked a site that I was using to secure my data. This just started occurring recently. I had to turn the extension off. I going to get a computer brand that I don't have to deal with this.

- It works and the only thing I don't like about it is that it does show a lumbering on the speeds of the internet.

- I disliked this extension when it began blocking sites I have been using for years. I have to disable the Banking protection to allow the sites to run and then enable it back every single time. I am giving it two stars because it works blocking viruses. I wish there was a way to fix it.

In addition, unwanted web content delivered using HTTPS can be handled with a block page. Hey Faye and Darleen it keeps happening because Edge logs and follows everything you do online. My guess is that's a security risk.

- I removed this extension when it began blocking sites I have been using for years, including a site I designed that has a legitimate certificate which it flagged for not having a certificate. It also sometimes would not allow me to browse sites I added to the safe list but would instead lock up and had to be removed. A really bad implementation of this type extension. The only reason I am giving it one star instead of none is because I'm afraid that if I gave it none it would not be accepted.

- This is what I get after activating it with in my Spectrum account; Browsing Protection by F-Secure Security application not found Your application has been uninstalled or you do not have a compatible version. Install the latest version of the application and try again.

- F-Secure has become useless, because it daily is showing that my Edge browser has to be reinstalled. Looks like I'll have to install another secure protection - Spectrum is acting worse less.

- Funktioniert nicht. Einrichtung ohne Probleme, kann aber angeblich keine Verbindung zur Anwendung herstellen. F-Secure Internet Security ist aktuell und aktiviert. Deshalb eigentlich kein Stern, musste aber einen Vergeben.

- The add option to allow doesn't work, and why is it blocking my ads automatically with out asking me first, and then the way to fix it is hidden if your not that pc savvy needs to be more user friendly but tysm for this service.

- Windows 11 keeps telling me that there is no firewall running. Although, Firewall is not needed with F-Secure running. So, why isn't Windows acknowledging that??? Also, F-Secure is supposed to work for Windows 7, but it will not install on my other computer.

- 2023_01_30 - Habe seit mehr als 10 Jahren F-Seure Internet und bin sehr zufrieden damit. - Leider taucht nun ein Problem auf mit der Erweiterung Add-In. Auf meinem PC mit EDGE (64 Bit) läuft alles reibungslos. Auf meinem Tablet (Win32) mit EDGE (32Bit) besteht das Problem, dass F-Secure Internet nicht gefunden wird bzw. eine Inkompitibilitaet und somit wird im Browser EDGE neueste Version (32BIT) das popupfenster mit grüner Umrandung nicht aufgerufen und bietet keinen Schutz. An die Entwickler: Bitte stellen Sie zwei verschiedene Erweiterungen für EDGE zur Verfügung einmal für 64 Bit und einmal für 32 Bit. - Herzlichen DANK!

- I would love to add a review. however, I fully do not understand the workings of F-Secure. Microsoft needs to more fully explain how it works and what it specifically does for one's computer and it's browsing function.

- SPECTRUM CHARTER MY IP PROVIDER KEEPS POPPING UP AND LEAVING "SETUP" MESSAGES. Facebook sends me email that 'X' using Samsung S21 tried to access 'patti4palpak@hotmail'...do not know if they are referring to 'email' or 'FB'? My biggest issue is 'X' or 'Y' is hacking into Wells Fargo Account. I cannot give a rating on F-Secure as, I had issues with setting it up plus the vicissitudes of 'other.' Thank you, PJ,
