TLDR: Shows how much time you spend on social media.

Description from store
This is a super simple extension that shows a big timer in the corner of your screen when you're on social media. The more time you spend, the more the timer grows. It tracks the current session (resets after 15 min) and daily total time and visits. The same timer is tracked for all sites. The timer ignores clicks - so you can click elements that are underneath it.
This extension triggers on specific websites only: X, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, Reddit (and a few more, but I'm not allowed to mention all of them here). If you'd like this to work on another site and it doesn't, please contact me and I'll add it!

Privacy: The extension doesn't track any data. It stores data locally to be able to track time spent across tabs and totals in a day. The only analytics I have are what Google provides to all extension developers (installs, impressions, etc).

- (2025-01-13) Peter Cottle: This has been one of THE most effective ways for me to feel in control of my time on social media. I love that it just grows more and more obnoxious (rather than completely blocking the screen which is disruptive) and resets every day. Excited for this pattern to become more common :) Thanks Cemre for building!
