Switch the white background of Service Cloud Lightning to dark to work nicely in low-light environments. Prevent dry and itchy eyes, and preserve your vision.
DARK MODE FOR SERVICE CLOUD LIGHTNING
No need to adjust org settings or ask your Salesforce Admin to do so. You can easily switch from and black to a light theme. You can also tweak contrast and brightness levels in advanced settings.
NIGHT SHIFT
When staring at a computer screen, we get affected by the harsh blue light it emits. The cold undertone of the screen is proven to harm our sleep and vision. The Night Shift feature decreases your exposure to blue light, making it soft and warm.
You can turn the Night Shifts on and off when you need to.

- (2025-05-15) time lord (Quantumzone): Its a great product, but a monthly subscription imho is completely unnecessary for a convenience. It would be one thing if it offered more features, but the transitions between pages aren't smooth enough to justify 2/month. Is it a low cost of entry? Yes, but in terms of yearly cost it adds up. Frankly, I think this would do far better with a flat fee for access though I don't think google allows that. I've spent upwards of 25$ on simple tools as long as the price is a one and done deal, we live in a world with far too many subscription models.

- (2024-03-27) Joshua Higgins: I really liked it. Yes, you have to pay for it but the cost is minimal and well worth the ease on the eyes.
- (2024-03-05) Greg Brown: The Dark Mode app available on the Chrome Web Store has been a revelation for our organization. This tool fulfills its promises despite the waves of complaints about its $2/month subscription fee. It has significantly enhanced our user experience, making our organizational interfaces pop with its sleek and eye-friendly aesthetics. Critics overlook the app’s value proposition by focusing solely on the cost. This investment pales compared to the expenditures we’ve faced in mitigating screen-induced headaches, for which Advil was a recurring expense. The irony is that the cost of this app is negligible when weighed against the comfort and productivity it brings to our daily operations. Moreover, the misplaced frustration directed at the app’s developer is unfair and unwarranted. It’s essential to recognize that this innovative solution addresses a gap that Salesforce has yet to fill despite its vast resources. The developer deserves commendation, not condemnation, for stepping up to provide a feature that enhances the Salesforce experience for many users. It's a classic case of shooting the messenger for the message. In an ideal world, Salesforce itself would offer such functionality, and perhaps they will in the future. Until then, this Dark Mode app is not just a workaround but a significant improvement to our digital workspace. Kudos to the developer for their initiative and for offering a simple yet impactful solution to a common problem. This app is a testament to the fact that sometimes, the best solutions come from the community, and small investments can lead to significant returns in user satisfaction and productivity.

- (2023-04-02) Gaura Allen: Repost from my review left from an old account on 2022-10-10: I pay $5 a month for Paramount+. That gives me access to a mountain of reasonably high budget content that entertains me for hours. This is Dark Mode for SFDC. What could they even have in common? Ferengi Rule of Acquisition 82: "The flimsier the product, the higher the price" ... Fine. I pay $5 a month for Star Trek. But we're talking Star Trek -a Science Fiction adventure that spans generations- vs an average quality Chrome Extension that I'd be pressed to pay more than $2 an YEAR for, but somehow these yahoos feel entitled to $2.00 monthly for DARK MODE? Get lost. It's Dark Mode. TLDR: I refer you to Ferengi Rule of Acquisition 3: "Never spend more on an acquisition than you have to"

- (2023-01-02) Roman Koshivka: I use Sales force for 40+ hours a week, often at night in dark room. The fact that SalesForce doesn't have a dark mode option in itself is a shame. This extension is something that I definitely need. The developers took advantage of SF shortcomings and made this extension. It does exactly what you'd expect, doesn't glitch or break layout. Is it worth 2$ per month. I guess it could be cheaper. But there is just so many people who really need it and will pay for it any money at all. I can afford 2 bucks per month to make my work more comfortable.

- (2022-11-17) Jason Burns: The plugin is great, and the warm colors are much better than actual dark mode. There is nothing wrong with this developer trying to monetize his work, I'm imagining there are many commenters here complaining whom certainly do not ever work for free. #freeconsultants

- (2022-10-01) Jonathan Clauson: This is a 3rd party extension, not official from SalesForce (from what I can tell) so I am not mad at SalesForce for this (they should have their own in house version but that is another issue). I am disappointed at this developer for suddenly deciding to charge for this. Can they do so? Absolutely. Is it worth the money? Absolutely not. This has been uninstalled. I would suggest avoiding this extension all together.

It's such a shame you are now requiring payment that I have to take our of my work pay in order to save my eyesight. I've tried looking for a free alternative but at this point you're forcing people to pay for a basic function and should be ashamed.

- (2022-09-29) Derek Knop: I'm sorry, but it was already bad enough that dark mode required an extension instead of just turning on to match my browser settings. Now you want to charge me $2.16 up front and $2.16 per month after that just to enable basic functionality? This is a SCAM now.
